We are happy to announce that the Summer Glau Wiki has officially become Summer-Glau.com.
We only changed the name of the site from summerglauwiki.com to summer-glau.com which means we will continue working with the News, Blog, Forum sections and the Photo and Video galleries you are used to and liked for almost five years now. This announcement follows the recent appointment of chrisdvanne as an admin.
And if that wasn't enough, we are now providing a mobile-friendly experience for your visitors; indeed, we have converted the site to a responsive design, which means the site will look and perform impeccably across different devices, regardless of their screen size. Smaller adjustments to the design will be done later without putting the site in maintenance mode. Feel free to sound off in the comments with your thoughts on the new design and how it looks on your desktop PC or mobile phone!
But why did we change to Summer-Glau.com? Well, this fan site was created 9 February 2010 by Fermi and Charley_Dixon as a tribute to the beautiful and talented actress who moved so many fans by her performance as Cameron Phillips in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and they decided to name the site in connection with the TSCC Wikis they came from. And while it provides us with a unique site with many features, many online users think this site is a wiki website in the sense of Wikipedia or the sites hosted by Wikia. The name Summer Glau Wiki does not fully reflects the fact this site is first and foremost a fan site that is built by the fans, for the fans, that it is updated with the latest things related to Summer Glau's work on a daily basis and that its goal is to spread the word on Summer Glau's talent and communicate through social networks. Changing the name to Summer-Glau.com seeks to avoid this confusion and also provides a better recognition vis-a-vis the online actors.
Stay tuned as the various social networking accounts attached to the site will be updated accordingly.
What will change for you? Well, nothing at all. You will be able to visit the site in optimal conditions of comfort, whether you're on your desktop computer or on your mobile phone. While your current bookmark will direct you to the site, we suggest you update it.
Major projects lie ahead, including updating the TV show/movie pages, design changes or the coherence of the different social media accounts, and since Summer is expecting to give birth to a child and thus will be taking a few months break, it gives us the opportunity to work hard behind-the-scenes to improve our fan site and to provide you a better online experience.
Thank you to the fans that have helped get us where we are, thank you all for your support through this fansite and thank you for being here with us supporting everything related to Summer! We are excited to continue to inform and entertain you as Summer-Glau.com!
The pictures chosen for the banner are from one of my favourite photoshoots of Summer Glau, Jim Wright for Men's Health/Women's Health.

I love the new color scheme! Fantastic choice of contrasting yet complementary colors. Reminds of a color scheme I was experimenting with for Windows many years ago.
Just finished updating the pages on two wikis for "Links to Other Wikis" so the links go to the new address.
This site may not be a 'wiki' anymore but its core is still here.

Thanks Russell, I'm very glad you like the new color palette, and I will tell you why.
I must admit that YOU inspired me to undertake this design change (although Fermi, Charley and I have chosen the colors ourselves), the moment I saw your comments on site design a while ago. I always had your remarks in mind when I decided to choose for a color over another.
And thanks for the updates

I've been looking through the site looking for any potential 'visual' problems and so far I've only noted one.
When you go into the Gallery, the text for the navigation menu is in blue and this is against a dark gray background.
Unless you've got some extraordinary eyesight, that is a little hard to read.

Thanks for mentioning it!
The truth is, we were still discussing design options when we decided to undertake the name change. We took this opportunity to launch the new design, knowing perfectly adjustments will be needed. Since I'm not as familiar as Fermi and Charley with HTML and CSS, it will take some time to fix all design issues.
