Launch of Photography Blog

Added by chrisdvanne on May 31, 2013 | 4 COMMENTS

Joan Allen photographer

Photographer Joan Allen will soon launch Have Film Will Travel, a photography based blog.
Continuing an old tradition started by Joan Allen herself, one of the dedicated Twitter account's first messages was to inform us that they have chosen for their very first avatar (and background) a lovely photo of Summer Glau. This is an awesome proof of consideration for Summer Glau and her fans and we thank Joan Allen warmly for that.

But this may not be the only good news! When asked by Alexandra (@thelexy), Have Film Will Travel mentioned that Summer Glau maybe be part of the launch and that they sent Summer a text letting her know that we're all in need of her beauty as soon as possible! And even if this doesn't necessarily mean that we will have new photos of Summer Glau, it is with great pleasure that we accompagny Joan Allen and Have Film Will Travel in this new venture, because we're part of the same community, because we share the same passion for beauty, talent and dedication, and also because the Summer Glau Wiki supports every initiative that contribute to give Summer Glau more exposure.
Have Film Will Travel is a photography focused blog, featuring a variety of travel, fashion, lifestyle, fine art, photojournalism and other features.  We will be highlighting our most inspirational friends and artists and trendsetters each month.  Created by professional photographer Joan Allen.  We will be sharing the work of our fellow photographer and artist friends.

We wish Joan Allen every success now and in the future and can't wait for the launch of Have Film Will Travel. Meanwhile, please visit Joan Allen website at to discover her remarkable work.
Let's hope Summer Glau will be part of the launch of Have Film Will Travel in one way or another and stay tuned for more informations.

Summer Glau is very lucky to have a friend like Joan Allen. The Los Angeles-based photographer has worked with many A-list actors, neverlethess she decided to use a photo of Summer Glau to launch her new photography Blog.

Brilliant photo! Joan Allen as an artist I'll have to follow for sure.

Not to sound like I am disagreeing with your comment, but I just wanted to note that as indeed Joan has mighty gorramn portfolio of more famous celebs, which she could have used, none of them is on par with Summer's natural beauty and charms.

Well that's imo of course, but I think that it's not necessary to always strike on with the extremely famous & successful names & things in order to accomplish something great, yet successful as well.

A fine example is our lovely Firefly verse.

I really enjoy the works of Joan,  hers pics of Summer pics are one of my very favs in my collection, she is a really nice artist. It doesn't surprise that she picked a photo of Summer  for that reason, and I can only admire her good taste & impressive talent.

She really seems to be a confident artist that put art in front of sole success and is brave enough to do so.

We're on the same page, Metal.

If Joan Allen was simply thinking in terms of marketing, she would have picked another celebrity, indeed. But friendship, inspiration and art must have guided her when she picked a photo of Summer Glau for the launch of her Blog.
