Here's Hallmark Channel Press Release :

John Brotherton, Dan Gauthier, Mason Cook and Izabela Vidovic Co-star;
“Help For The Holidays” Is Rated: S For Santa, F For Family And H For Hope* #Help4Holidays
Summer Glau (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) travels from the North Pole to Los Angeles to lend a helping hand when she stars with Eva La Rue (“CSI: Miami”), Dan Gauthier (“One Life to Live”) and John Brotherton (“Jane By Design”) in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere “Help for the Holidays,” Sunday, December 9 (8p.m. ET/PT, 7C). In the film, also starring young talent Izabela Vidovic (“Christmas Angel”) and Mason Cook (“Spy Kids: All the Time in the World”), Glau stars as one of Santa’s hard-working elves who’s enthusiasm for Christmas is contagious when she goes on a special assignment as a new nanny for a family in desperate need of a holiday makeover.
Although she loves Christmas, Santa’s elf Christine (Glau) wonders if there could be more to life than making toys in the North Pole. When Santa receives an emergency wish from a little boy in Los Angeles, he puts Christine on a special assignment, sending her to L.A. to give the VanCamp family—mom Sara (La Rue), dad Scott (Gauthier), and their two kids Ally (Vidovic) and Will (Cook)—a holiday wake-up call. While Sara and Scott run their booming holiday store, Will and Ally are often left unsupervised. The kids long for a true family Christmas, with a tree and lights of their own instead of the holiday leftovers from their parents’ store.
Christine quickly interviews to be the kids’ new nanny, hoping to secretly transform their sad Christmas spirit into a loving family celebration. Christine thinks she has it all under control and might even be falling in love. But when Sara suspects her new nanny is interfering too much, she threatens to end Christine’s stay in L.A. Will Christine fail her assignment and be sent back to the North Pole for good, or will the VanCamps come to their senses about the meaning of Christmas.

I hope you will smile
Hallmark Christmas movies are usually released on DVD but i'm not sure there will be a French version.

Et si il n'y a pas de version en français, on créras les sous-titres nous-même.

To be honest, i hardly recognised her when i uploaded the pictures in the gallery, especially on the pictures at home with the kids (not in her elf costume).
The make-up and wardrobe department have done an amazing job.

I'm glad that Summer's character is attired as the kind of elf that would appeal more to the grownups than the kids.
Also the chances of swordplay, ogres, and magical spells seems to grow slimmer with each new infos :-)
