The Hallmark Channel published a more detailed synopsys for 'Help for the Holidays'.
Summer Glau's upcoming movie, will premiere on Sunday, December 9, 2012, as part of 'The Heart of Christmas', the 12 new movies of Christmas, begining November 3 and featuring a new movie each weekend.
From Hallmark's press release, October 2012 :
You know, it's hard out there for an elf. First of all, you live up in the North Pole, where there's really nothing much to do. No malls. A crummy dating scene. And good luck trying to find a decent restaurant. Now imagine that this elf is young and beautiful, and she's stuck making toys all day long - and all night long, too.
This is the premise that launches "Help for the Holidays," a charming Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere on Sunday, December 9 (8p.m. ET/PT, 7C).
The film stars Summer Glau ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") as Santa's elf Christine, a young lass busily making toys and getting bored to tears up in the Pole. Christine is convinced that this is pretty much as good as it's going to get when Santa receives an emergency wish from a little boy in Los Angeles. It seems that the boy is desperate for a genuine family Christmas with his too-busy clan, and it's Christine who gets dispatched to L.A. to help make it happen. She interviews to be the nanny for kids Ally (Izabela Vidovic, "Christmas Angel") and Will (Mason Cook," Spy Kids: All the Time in the World"), who are too often left unsupervised and dismissed as an afterthought by their parents Sara (Eva La Rue of "CSI: Miami") and Scott (Dan Gauthier of "One Life to Live"). Mom and Dad, you see, run a mega-successful holiday store, and as a result their kids too often get left without a real Christmas to call their own.
Winter is soon upon us but all is not lost, we have Summer coming! It should be a great Christmas with this movie to enjoy. More, Summer Glau as an Elf, coming to L.A. to be the nanny for two dismissed kids makes 'Help for the Holidays' look supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Summer Glau filmed on August a Christmas movie for the US channel Hallmark in which her character, Christine Prancer, is an elf. Make-up artist Michael Spezzano, who worked on the movie, posted on his blog another photo of Summer taken during the filming.
This new photo reveals quite a bit on Summer's look on the movie. Like in Spezzano's previously posted photo
, this one shows Summer Glau's pointy ears, which as we know any good elf should have; but we have also a good look at her final makeup and costume.
Have you ever seen a better looking Elf?
The photo is accompanied by the following commentary, that explains Spezzano's choice of makeup (Mary Lou Manizer by theBalm), gives a summary of the movie plot and a major spoiler on Summer's role :
I used this [honey-hued luminizer] on my actress SUMMER GLAU, on my last movie, HELP FOR THE HOLIDAY'S, where she played a Elf from Santa's Village that comes to the real world to help a family re-discover Christmas spirit, and falls in love in the process. So I wanted her too look fairy-like through the whole film.
