I have collected for you the stories - and photos - of fans who had the chance to meet Summer at this year's Comic Con Honolulu. You can read them below.
Carl Kirby's story
I got a photo with Summer and told her she is the best at being a badass and innocent at the same time. She replied that what she was going for. Her husband Val said he take two pictures so I can pick which way I want it to face. He took both back to back. And then I walked away.
Her line was just as long but as John Barrowman's line although I think John had more fans there but people like me got their photo taking the day before. I'm a big fan of Summer but John was who I was really fan boying over. I'm a big Torchwood fan. John Barrowman I did talk to a lot. He is so cool but I made an ass of myself trying to be funny around him to make him laugh. Lucky he was super about it and says funny things back to me.
And if you watch the panel he yells at me during the panel in a joking way. I'm the one asking him if capt Jack in the face of Boe.
Sean Calles's story
Thank you to Elmer at HeadShot Heroes for creating this awesome painting at Comic Con Honolulu and to Summer Glau for personalizing it! I also had her autograph my "Serenity: Those Left Behind" comic at the show.
Meeting was Summer was great, she's a really nice person. I'm grateful that she was able to make it to the Honolulu Comic Con!
Stephan Diep's story (Is Summer awaiting a happy event?)
Now I only know Summer Glau from the Terminator and Serenity. Of course she is famous in Firefly as well but I did not watch it which I will later on. She is a friendly and a "shy" person. Well I went to her panel and she talked about her life and how she become an actress. Got to say she has talent to not know how to act at first during her career. Also she is a hard motivated worker to be famous right now. Which I think she try to say is if you want to do something go for it. That is what I call strong-will and determination. Well besides that she is a funny person Either way I got into a picture with her and here it is. Oh yeah I think she said she is pregnant during her panel so congrats to her.
Darin Trinidad's story
She was friendly. After the photo, I gave her a hug and I told her that I wish Sarah Connor Chronicles wasn't canceled and that the show was better than the Terminator sequels after T2. She thanked me for the compliment and she agrees, she misses the show too.
Finally! A photo-op with Summer Glau. You may know her as the Terminator in Sarah Connor Chronicles or the lady that got shot in Arrow. I know her as River from Firefly/Serenity and Echo's nemesis from another Dollhouse in Dollhouse. I definitely felt a little emotional when I met her. Joss Whedon developed stories for these characters that makes viewer grow attached to them, then it gets ripped away. You can tell I took the bait.
A TSCC fan shared the story behind his photo with Summer Glau holding a "Save TSCC" sign, you can read it here: When I Met Summer: The 'TSCC continues' dream lives on.
You can see more photos of Summer posing with fans, signing autographs at her booth or at her panel in the Honolulu Comic Con gallery album.
