Summer Glau is on the early list of the nominees for the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards; she made it on the ballot in the "Outstanding Lead Actress In a Drama Series" for her performance as Orwell in The Cape, as well as 55 other actresses.
The members of the Emmys will vote the final nominess from that list. The annoucement of the final nominees will be made during the "Official Primetime Emmy® Awards Nominations Announcement Ceremony" on July 14; tune to Emmys.com July 14 at 5:40 am PT for the live webcast.
The 63rd Primetime Emmy® Awards airs September 18, live on FOX Television and will be hosted by Jane Lynch (Glee).

This is heartwarming news. It is always uplifting to see that people from all over love Summer as much as we do.
I think it's fantastic that members of the committee acknowledge that Summer did an excellent job in her portrayal of Orwell, even if the series was short lived and she wasn't given more time to develop.
I personally think she should have WON the Emmy for her work on Alison from Palmdale in Terminator.
I am looking forward to seeing more great characters brought to life by Summer Glau.
