TV Line has posted an article which gives us a few more infos about Summer Glau's character, Isabel Rochev.

“Isabel Rochev and Oliver Queen are going to become partners in running Queen Consolidated,” shared show boss Andrew Kreisberg. That arrangement will present “a different side of Oliver than we’ve seen — him really trying to be a responsible businessman.”

Isabel Rochev and Oliver are going to become partners in running Queen Consolidated
Isabel Rochev and Oliver Queen will be partners
and not deadly adversaries as we first thought.

These new informations shed new light on Kreisberg's comments from a few weeks ago "Their scenes have a lot of fun banter". That also means the Arrow's version of Isabel Rochev won't be the angry and thirsty for revenge Isabel from the comics.

While the press release for the season two premiere episode titled 'City of Heroes' says "Isabel Rochev is preparing a hostile takeover of Queen Consolidated", it seems Isabel and Oliver will be partners and not the deadly adversaries we though they would be. And Emily Bett Rickards revealed that Felicity will play a role in it. Yet Kreisberg was mum on whether Isabel and Oliver will partner in, ahem, other ways.

It looks like there is plenty to get excited for next season. Meanwhile, check out the promotional photos for 'City of Heroes' for a first look at Isabel Rochev.
Two weeks to go until the second season premiere on Wednesday, October 9 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

that sounds really promising, I am quite pleased in a way, I had a vision where Isabel Rochev would be a flash in the pan, that much of a baddie that she would be only in a few episodes and the Arrow producers would quickly write her off, would be brilliant to be upgraded to a series regular for season three, summer and the hood what a partnership exciting season 2 in store for the fans of Arrow,

Yes, I'm glad that Arrow writers didn't stick to the comic book characters, both for the looks of Isabel Rochev and for her motivations. This way the character can be more complex and multi-layered.

yes,  flip of the coin as they say, two sides to Isabel Rochev, its looks like we might see the other side of Isabel Rochev, which could be as well as the business woman, that we all know she is, and maybe the romantic side of Isabel Rochev, which would be totally different than the comic book character.

I'm hoping for an ongoing intellectual conflict, were face to face there friendly business partners but behind the scenes they'er constantly looking for a way to get rid of the other, maybe they will partner up "in other ways" in order to get close enough to find dirt, either way I'm hoping she's in most if not all of season 2 and beyond, I can't wait.

John Barrowman was in half of the season 1 episodes but he played two characters, Malcolm Merlyn by day and The Black Archer by night.

Arrow writers hinted two big baddies in season 2; more, there's new regulars on the show, which leaves less room for recurring characters such as Isabel Rochev.

Talking about Isabel Rochev wanting to take over Queen industries.
She is in a good position to do that because I feel Oliver is taking his eye off of the business and his mother will be in prison.
He spends a lot of his time fighting the baddies and destroying those who have failed the city.
He has certainly left the door open for Isabel to step in & offer to take the reigns. Perhaps she will end up not only taking the reigns but the horse too?
