Plot summary: Sequestered is a 12 episode "12 Angry Men"-style thriller about a sequestered jury.
Danny Firmin (Bradford), a young attorney with a promising career, begins to uncover a major conspiracy behind his big case defending the alleged murderer of Governor Mark Bennett’s (Warburton) 8-year-old son. Sequestered juror Anna (Glau) is forced to choose between her beliefs and the safety of her family while deliberating the fate of a potentially innocent man. Surprising alliances form, sparking tensions and testing morals as Anna puts her life on the line to expose the conspiracy and find true justice for all involved.

The Malcolm Miller trial has ended, but is the case over? After a juror is beaten, the judge orders the jury to be sequestered. Danny receives an odd voice mail from a witness. Governor Bennett is told of an old threat resurfacing. Anna sees something disturbing in her hotel room.
Danny finds Sophia Russo and digs back into the Malcolm Miller Case. Anna decides how to respond to her mysterious message. Danny’s search leads him to an ex-juror, a gay bar and a new suspect.
Governor Bennett makes a confession that leads to a renewed connection. Danny overcomes his strained relationship with his father and asks for help. Anna has a new ally in Ryan, but can she trust him.
Danny tells Nora about his discovery and is surprised to get help from his father. Anna confides her suspicions to Ryan but is too wary to tell him everything. Hugh has no idea he is being followed. Anna sees something she’s not supposed to.
Tempers flare as the deliberations drag on. Anna and Ryan concoct a scheme to expose a juror’s secret. Governor Bennett takes matters into his own hands. Nora confesses to Danny, who then investigates Pritchard. Anna panics when she can’t reach her sister.
The jury is reprimanded and reminded of the magnitude of their duty. Joe’s investigation takes him outside the law. Danny meets a new ally and a new enemy. Pritchard preys on Danny’s weakness. Helen finds something incriminating in her husband’s office.<
Anna snaps. Ryan catches Yvonne in the act. Pritchard is put in his place. Malcolm meets his new lawyer. Joe tells Danny that the jurors’ votes are being leaked and Danny seeks help from his new friend.
Governor Bennett conducts his own investigation into his son’s murder. Danny and Nora finally talk about a secret. Jenny comes to a frightening realization about her captor. Charles gets a surprising call from home. Danny takes matters into his own hands.
The jury deliberation unravels causing a change that will block Anna and Ryan’s progress. Danny makes a confession that forces Pritchard into a drastic move. Governor Bennett continues his interrogation—what happened to the $80 million?
Danny gets help from a surprising source. Seth has an epiphany about the conspiracy. Anna realizes that she has an enemy AND an adversary. Governor Bennett goes off the deep end.
After ten days, the verdict is finally in. Anna sets out to find her sister. Keira reevaluates her blind loyalty. Helen overhears a disturbing conversation. Danny and Kevin find where it all happened.
Governor Bennett is confronted by the secrets of his past. Anna and Ryan continue their search for Jenny, while Hugh and Keira must finish the job. Danny looks death in the eye as he uncovers the evidence that could save Malcolm Miller. Season Finale.
"Sequestered" female lead is presumably what Summer Glau was called in to do a screen test for in November 2013 and the reason why she had to cancel her appearance at Supanova events.
