From an early age, Summer Glau trained to be a ballerina. Because of her rigorous schedule, she was homeschooled by her mother. Besides traditional ballet, she studied tango and flamenco. She danced at the Majestic Theatre in shows like Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme, The Merry Widow, Peer Gynt or Paint Your Wagon.

"Music and Dance Around the World" by Anna Vardanyan
On Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California was the
site of international unity and harmony while the waves of smoke and ashes
filtered through the ruins of demolished structures in New York,
Washington, DC and the woods of Pennsylvania...

Choreographer Jordi Caballero and Summer Glau danced the "Spanish Adagio" which was later followed by Caballero's solo masterful "Flamenco".
