OK, I also have something new: "Cam", I hope you will like it
I just uploaded it on Vimeo and, as I said in the description, I hope I will be able to finish by the end of next month. I really enjoy it working on it, the only problem is the available time :P
I've just seen the video. gosh, you must have spent ages searching for all the good bits from various episodes. I like the HQ. You have very good software to be able to upload from blu-ray. I couldn't do that. Nice music too. This is one of my favourites.
I'm glad you like it, thanks! Well, searching for those sequences is the least difficult problem - they are there, basically, and I'm enjoying looking for them Me I'm more concerned about what they call "writer's block" - lack of inspiration, ideas, making me to screw it up right in the middle (happened alot of times). But, as Cromartie-John Henry-Dillahunt said, "we'll see"
Software is nothing special: I'm using Win10's Shotcut as video editor, alongside MKVToolnix and XMediaRecode for video cutting, VLC for taking snapshots, PhotoScape as image editor for stills, and Audacity as audio editor; all are freeware. I also have the paid version of VideoPad video editor but, even being more capable than Shotcut, is slower (32- vs 64-bit and doesn't use very good the GeForce card) The credit goes to the hardware - PC/CPU/GPU is indeed a very powerful one.
Music - I'm old fashion - both songs used are Vangelis: 1982 Blade Runner / Main Titles and 1973 L'apocalypse des animaux / La petite fille de la mer.
Greetings KevinInEngland and congratulations to ampertox (# 3094) for his her great work! I liked the editing, the whole video had an interesting arc and it's always refreshing seeing Summer Glau as Cameron . Also, i'm Greek and i appreciate Vangelis' music, as much as i appreciate Summer ! Well done! To the Sweetest Terminator in the Verse..., Summtris (game), Twitter
ampertox, Admirator, Great video ampertox! That must have taken a while to clip out various moments from the show! I'm doing something a tad similar but with a cover song containing lyrics that reference TSCC and Terminator as a whole, I should have it released by the end of this month. "Fate is what we make of it." "That's what you should be most proud of!" -Summer Glau 2019
Great! We look forward to see your work! It's super that you and ampertox are giving new breath around Summer's work
Then rejoice because another video is in the making! I had an idea for a video myself but lacked the skills to make it. So I asked ampertox to do it for me. It's almost finished and I can't wait to show it to everyone :-) You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr or Youtube
@Admirator @ctann Thanks for the nice words, glad you like it! @ctann, looking forward for your clip, please let us know when it's done. Congrats!
@Admirator Vangelis is a GOD! At least for me. There will be for sure two more of his songs in my clip, they are already set and "immutable" About the clip's arc, please don't set your expectations too high, to don't be disappointed at the end I'm trying to make a reasonable good one, but not always I could find or match the proper movie sequence in this arc; I will be happy even with a reasonable coherent story I'm trying to make some kind of "fade in-fade out" between small themes in Cam's story; for instance, at 20:42 "she didn't kill anybody" - this is the fade-in of the "Cam is itching to kill something" theme; 24:45 "brain surgery" goes to Cam incinerating Vick (knife, chip removed = brain surgery) which goes to "scary robot" which goes to "hyper alloy combat chassis" which goes to Cam's fights with Vick and Rosie. Btw, on "hyper alloy combat chassis", there is a slight tune I made in the clip's speed (slo-mo) to emphasize Cam's lips "expression" - threatening! - before going into Vick's sequence
P.S About your comment, "his/her"... I'm a "he" I don't know why the profile says otherwise, but whatever, maybe's the Skynet. I will check this out once I finish making pancakes
Then rejoice because another video is in the making!
Hmm! I am rejoicing already, this should be really interesting and with the editing level of friend ampertox.. this should be good ! @ampertox fully agreed, Vangelis is super! In late 90's, early 2000's that we (at home) were discovering methodically his music, for a time period it seemed to us that, it was just him.. and all the others. Now we got used a little to his style, but he always has a position in the top of our mind . Glad you like him!
The connection of the stories in TSCC you did is really great. I loved all these moments where she was talking about killing, with the innocence of a child. Your video could be used as an extended teaser of this great show . And i admire both you and ctann that organize your projects in a long time period. I don't have that patience.. I don't think i gave more than a week in one of my "projects". 2-3 days for the skeleton and 3-4 tweaking.. That's the difference of Professional and amateur work . Great we have you here! I'm sure Summer appreciates it too, perhaps as much as we appreciate her . Pancakes!.. that reminds me of something . To the Sweetest Terminator in the Verse..., Summtris (game), Twitter
Congratulations to both of you! I watched it on twitter, but i didn't realize it was your work! So, you combined this nice narration from another film, with scenes of TSCC. Really good idea! It's like they are made for each other. And i have to say i'm a big fan of matching what is shown and what is heard. You did this perfectly! Super ! Congratulations !
Just for fun, and as a small update, about "Cam" status:
I added another 22 mins (it's already 52 mins long!) in which I "introduced" Jesse, Catherine Weaver and Jodi, I referenced the FBI-raid, shown the Beast Wizard 7, and I used the John-Cameron bed scene to do a Inception-like flashback-in-future-flashback for Derek-Cameron story/relation (once it was done, I re-watched it and I'm quite pleased how it looks) Everything in 22 mins

Summer Glau as the Ravager influenced custom action figure made from Marauders Valkyries
Must admit this have to be the best custom Ravager figure I've seen. It looks amazing. Summer did a great job on Arrow, too bad the Arrow writers "didn't know what to do with her character" (their own expression) and she spend an entire season standing around looking pretty and making concerned faces. No wonder Isabel Rochev didn't click with Arrow fans.
