Instagram user rambokevil wrote a sum-up of Summer's panel.
I forgot to take a photo at the Summer Glau Q&A Panel today so I just posted my autographed Firefly on Blu-ray. She went into acting because her ballet injury could no longer allowed her to dance as a career. Not going back to dancing was a natural choice for her because as a dancer she would have to always look for her mistakes and how to top her best (I think acting wasn't as self torturing). She says we "her fans" are sacred to her. She met her husband Val Morrison HERE on Hawaii Five-0 when she did S3 E16 'Kekoa' as Maggie Hoapili. They probably would have never met if her mom didn't convince her to go do the episode just because it was "Hawai'i". Summer was going to back out because she felt she wasn't physically conditioned for that part because it asks her to do a fight scene. She couldn't connect with her character in Arrow until she became Ravager, then she got excited. She didn't like wearing the costume. I personally asked her about Dollhouse. For those who didn't watch it, it got cancelled and had to be wrapped up in Season 2. Summer's character, Bennett, came in later as the programmer in another Dollhouse and despised Echo. I asked Summer if whether she knew that Bennett was part of Joss's original multi-season line-up or she was thrown in just at the wrapping up stage. Summer's reply was that she didn't know, she got the job and did it. This would definitely be a question for Joss. As we know, Joss intended for Firefly and Dollhouse to be longer.
