Science channel announced that it will have a Firefly panel at this year's New York Comic Con, taking place October 11-14.
Headlined by an exclusive sneak peek at the Science channel tv special 'Firefly 10th Anniversary: Browncoats Unite', the network promises us one big Firefly reunion party.
While we don't know who exactly will attend the panel, we can expect surprise guests; here's what Science's press release says :

It has been 10 years since the crew of the Serenity took flight in Joss Whedon’s short-lived but now infamous show FIREFLY. SCIENCE will give New York Comic Con an exclusive sneak peek at their 10th Anniversary Special Event making its world premiere on 11/11/12. From behind-the-scenes with those directly involved to never-before seen footage, SCIENCE is going to have something for both old and new fans alike. Captain ‘Mal’ Reynolds and the crew from the ship are calling all Browncoats to unite at the 2012 New York Comic Con. Special surprise guests and exclusive New York Comic-Con giveaways are just the beginning. SHINY.
We should learn more in the following days, as it happened for the Firefly panel at SDCC; i hope the Firefly cast and crew all get together again but we also know that their appearance is submitted to previous commitments. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr or Youtube

In this photo taken from the round-table hosted by the Science Channel that took place before the Firefly panel at SDCC, you'll notice that all eyes are turned on Summer, which means she'll have a line or two (not like in the later Firefly panel) :
Anyone going to Firefly Panel at New York Comic-Con?
Is it me or i don't feel the same enthousiasm for NYCC than for SDCC among the Browncoats? Maybe it's because "exclusive footage" is not the same thing as seing in the flesh Joss, Nathan, Summer and the cast members. So far we have no clue who these "surprise guests" will be.
Science Channel broadcasted a teaser for the 'Firefly Browncoats Unite' special scheduled to air on the network on Sunday, November 11 at 10pm, along with an all-day marathon of Firefly episodes.
For those who don't get the Science Channel, the Firefly 10th Anniversary panel at NYCC will be streamed live (internet willing) at : NYCC Live Streaming. You can also find me on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr or Youtube
Little girl dressed as Kaylee and welcomed on stage by the Firefly cast during the NYCC panel. Seriously, it was one of the sweetest things I've ever seen. Stuff like this is why Firefly has such a special place in my heart--the cast genuinely loves and values fans. If the first rule of flying is love, the Browncoats are very much staying up in the air.
Another video, as if you were with the little girl :
