response to msg #100 - That's nice. I've found a twitter for Marie Osmond and asked if Summer Glau could be the next guest on her show. Of course, the legitimacy of a twitter address puzzles me but it seems legit.

@marieosmond @Pantages A lot of fans were extremely pleased to see Eva LaRue on your show, plus Garrett Dillahunt. How about Summer Glau now

Help for the Holidays has not a very good schedule; it airs on Sunday night while the best schedule is on Saturday night (taken by the heavily advertised by Hallmark 'Come Dance With Me!)
But more importantely it is pitted against heavyweight programs; you have to know that three networks are specialised in Holiday movies at this time of the year, ABC Family, Hallmark and Lifetime. At the same time 'Help for the Holidays' airs on Hallmark, ABC Family airs its most anticiped new holiday movie 'The Mistle-Tones', a musical starring Tori Spelling (yes i know, it sounds awful but it will be the biggest success of their schedule nonetheless), and Lifetime airs 'All About Christmas Eve.', a romantic comedy starring Haylie Duff and Chris Carmack.

Personally i don't like more than that Tori Spelling, so I hope realy that "Help for the Holidays" with Summer Glau will make a good audience.

You remember my fan made movie poster for 'Help for the Holidays', featuring Summer Glau and John Brotherton?

chrisdvanne

Well, here's what the official Hallmark poster would look like (you'll notice that Summer's feet are visible in the second picture) :

Watching it on a DVR right now.

Love the scene where she kicked off those awful heels and massaged her own feet, and she gave a sigh of relief.

That was certainly not acting on her part. lol

Wanted to give my comments on the acting and the movie in general. Summer played the perky, cheerful elf very well. As with all her other movies and shows it takes me a little to allow her to become the new character, but after the first 5 minutes I was seeing her as an elf. It was interesting that the discussion taking place on this site about her ears were actually pretty important to the show. (I won’t say more for those who haven’t seen it).

Sorry, I don't know how to get a recording off of my DVR.

Typically you can output the DVR to a DVD recorder if one isn't built into the DVR.

The DVR is part of the cable box. I'll see if there is an output to my pc for recording, but I've been wanting to record shows for a while with no luck.
