Once Upon A Time Casts 'Warrior' Dorothy, To Battle Wicked Witch In Oz

Chicago Fire alum Teri Reeves is set to heat things up in Once Upon a Time's Oz.

Teri Reeves has landed the recurring role of Kansas native Dorothy Gale, who since the last time we saw her has grown up to be a "brave warrior for good."

Having returned home to the Heartland at the end of Season 3's Zelena-centric "Kansas" episode (and then played by Matreya Scarrwener), Dorothy returns to Oz to save the magical city from the most wicked of witches. But to do so, she will have to forge new friendships, unlocking a strength she has never had before.

In addition to her Season 1 Chicago Fire run (as Casey's ill-fated fiancee), Reeves' TV credits include episodes of Castle, Scandal, NCIS and Three Rivers.

ABC's Once Upon a Time resumes Season 5 on March 6 with Episode 12, Reeves debuts in Episode 16.

# 1424 Oh yes, I recognise them.
So, it's a new series starting next year.  I'll look out for it.

# 1427 Another Sarah Connor or River Tam without the issues perhaps?

# 1428 Shame it's ending, I enjoyed it.

On a related topic.

Actress Chloe Bennet says changing her name changed her luck

Quote
Chloe Wang’s fortunes in Hollywood improved dramatically when she decided to change her surname.
She says within days of adopting her father’s given name — Bennet — as a family name, she landed her first big acting gig.
That was on the TV series Nashville, in a recurring role as record company assistant Hailey.
“I was having trouble booking things with my last name. I think it was hard for people to cast me as an ethnic, as an Asian American woman,” says Bennet in an interview with the Star. “But I still wanted to keep my dad’s name, and I wanted to respect him, so I used his first name.”

Ra's al Ghul Is Coming To "Legends of Tomorrow"

Matt Nable has been confirmed to be reprising his role of iconic immortal DC Comics villain Ra's al Ghul in upcoming The CW series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow".

Nable's Ra's al Ghul served as the main antagonist for the third season of the CW's "Arrow" from which "Legends" has been spun-off. Though meeting his maker in the season finale of that show, Nable will appear in the ninth episode of the new show's sixteen episode first run.

How he will do so isn't clear, but with the show indulging in time-travel as a key plot point it's likely Nable is returning to play the League of Shadows head at an earlier stage in his multiple centuries long life. He's not the only "Arrow" villain putting in an appearance on the new show though as current season villain Damien Darkh (played by Neal McDonough) is already set for a role.

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" debuts on January 21st.

Supergirl To Battle Bizarro-Girl

CBS' Supergirl will battle her extremely evil "twin" before Season 1 has come to a close.

Exec producer Andrew Kreisberg mentioned in passing during a recent installment of Kevin Smith's Fatman on Batman podcast that in addition to going up against Toyman - aka Winn Schott's incarcerated father Winslow Sr, to be played by Revenge patriarch Henry Czerny - the freshman drama will also introduce a Bizarro character.

Kreisberg did not specify which "Bizarro" he was speaking of, but the smart money is on it being Bizarro-Girl, a denizen of Htrae/Bizarro World who boasts many of the same powers of Supergirl, though sometimes in reverse (e.g. freeze vs. heat vision).

Supergirl is currently on holiday hiatus, having left us with the cliffhanger of Kara about to clash with Non, and will resume Season 1 on Jan. 4.

Once Upon A Time: Greg Germann To Play Hades In Midseason Premiere

Over the course of five seasons on Once Upon a Time, the residents of Storybrooke have been plagued by wicked witches, icy queens, and even a murderous Peter Pan - But Emma (Jennifer Morrison) & Co. Will face their toughest opponent yet when they arrive in the Underworld.

Ally McBeal alum Greg Germann will indeed be playing Hades, the devilish dictator of the Underworld.

"We're going to be meeting the Once Upon a Time version of Hades in the second half of the season," executive producer Adam Horowitz says. "While he is both inspired by a myth and by the Disney movie version, as we like to do, we're trying to create our own Once Upon a Time spin. We can't wait for everyone to see what [Germann]does with the character."

Germann is slated to make his debut "right away" in the midseason premiere, which also marks the ABC fairy tale drama's landmark 100th episode, in which Emma, her friends and family try to rescue Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) from the Underworld. "He absolutely has a surprising connection to one of our cast," executive producer Edward Kitsis says, though Horowitz is quick to add: "Before everyone runs to Twitter to give their opinions on it, he's not related to anyone, but there is a connection."

Once Upon a Time returns Sunday, March 6 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Sleepy Hollow Casts Knick Playboy As Franklin's 'Twisted Genius' Enemy

Meet Crane's kindred spirit - in Benjamin Franklin-hating, if nothing else.

Sleepy Hollow has cast The Knick's Charles Aitken as the founding father's arch enemy.

Per the official character description - which you first read about in a recent Ask Ausiello - Dr. Japeth Leeds is "a twisted, mysteriously brooding genius" whose talents include alchemy. But he becomes so obsessed with besting Franklin that he turns to the Dark Arts.

Crane and Leeds come face to face again in modern-day Sleepy Hollow, after Ichabod learns that the doctor "paid the ultimate price when one of his twisted experiments went awry."

In addition to The Knick, Aitken's TV credits include Madam Secretary and ITV's Foyle's War.

Aitken will appear in Episode 13. Sleepy Hollow returns - in its new timeslot on Friday, February 5, at 8/7c.
