Felicia Day Cast As New MST3K Villain

Felicia Day knows a thing or two about mad scientists - and now she'll get to play one.

The Dr. Horrible alum has joined the upcoming revival of Mystery Science Theater 3000 as Kinga, daughter of Dr. Clayton Forrester. (As you'll remember, it was Forrester who sent Janitor Joel Robinson to Space in the original 1988-'99 program.)

Joining the Whedonverse alum are comedians Hampton Yount and Baron Vaughn (Grace and Frankie) as the new voices behind Crow and Servo, Nerdist comedian Jonah Ray is also being eyed as new host.

Since its Nov. 10 launch, MST3K creator Joel Hodgson's Kickstarter to revive the series has reached its goal of $2 million to produce three full-length episodes. The campaign, which still has 17 days to go, is looking to raise as much as $5.5 million to complete a full 12-episode season.

‘Supergirl’ Gets Order For 7 More Episodes From CBS

Supergirl is joining the rest of CBS’ new fall series in receiving a back episodic order. The network has given a seven-episode pickup to the superhero drama, bringing its freshman run to 20 episodes, two shy of a full-season 22. Still, CBS calls this a full-season order, a term the broadcast networks have been using widely this season for series that get additional episodes beyond the initial 13.

Gotham Casts Breaking Bad Alum As Matches Malone (The Wayne's Killer?)

Has Fox's Gotham given a face to the historically elusive killer of Bruce Wayne's parents?

Michael Bowen - whose TV credits include his run as Breaking Bad's Uncle Jack (Todd's white supremacist kin) - has been cast as as Patrick "Matches" Malone.

Loosely based on a DC Comics character of the same name, Malone is described as "a weathered, philosophical hitman who may be the triggerman behind one of the most important crimes in Gotham's history."

The operative words there may be "may be." In the Nov. 23 episode, Silver St. Cloud was tricked into revealing that "M. Malone" murdered Thomas and Martha Wayne (in the series pilot), a piece of information that her uncle Theo Galavan had dangled in front of young Bruce. Then again, "M. Malone" could turn out to be the onetime headwriter of One Life to Live.

But probably not.

In other Gotham casting news, reports are that Tank Girl-turned-Orange is the New Black inmate Lori Petty will guest-star in Episode 14 (the third one after hiatus) as a nightclub owner who offers Bruce clues to finding the mysterious "M. Malone."

# 1401 Gotham season 2: not reaching UK until 2016

Sad news, UK Bat-fans - Channel 5 has announced that Gotham won't return to British shores until 2016.

Here's an odd one - even though Gotham season 2 has already kicked off in the USA, we won't get it on UK screens until 2016.

We don't have a definite date yet, but, even if it airs on New Year's Day, we'll still be over three months behind the American broadcast speed, rumors are that its gonna be February 2016. # Sorry Kevin

'Supergirl' Lands 'Chasing Life' Star In Major Villain Role

Supergirl is about to meet her match!

Chasing Life star Italia Ricci has joined CBS' superhero drama in a major recurring role - and she'll be causing trouble for Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist).

Ricci will play Siobhan Smythe, Cat Grant's latest hire at CatCo, who at first becomes a work nemesis for Kara but proves a more deadly foe for Supergirl when she becomes DC villain Silver Banshee.

Ricci will first appear in episode 14.

"We are so excited to be working with Italia. We've been a fan of her work for years and we cannot wait to see her take on this iconic comic book role," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in an exclusive statement.

In the comics, Silver Banshee has superhuman strength, speed, endurance, agility, an impressive ability to resist attacks and a gift for languages. She often uses her sonic-based abilities to weaken her victims.

Ricci, is best known for playing cancer survivor April Carver in the ABC Family drama Chasing Life.

"Fargo" Third Season To Be Present Day

The other week came word that FX's anthology series "Fargo" had been renewed for a third season.

Today, creator and showrunner Noah Hawley confirmed to EW that despite the second season being set in the past, the new season will go back to the modern day: "It's more contemporary" he says with season three set "a couple years after season one". That begs the obvious question - will characters from season one return? "Potentially."

Asked if their would be connections between the current season and the next, he says: "There are going to be connections, the way the first year was connected to the movie and the second year was connected to the first, but I think part of the fun is figuring that stuff out and I wouldn't want to take that away from anybody. There will be definitely things that connect to something in our story."

The second season will continue over the next few weeks on FX.

One of many shows that I am watching that I look forward to every week. It is an amazing show! The story, acting, cinematography and direction are out of the top-drawer.

Shailene Woodley Poised To Join HBO's Big Little Lies Opposite Nicole Kidman And Reese Witherspoon

In what would mark her first major TV gig since Secret Life of the American Teenager, Shailene Woodley is nearing a deal to join HBO's star-studded limited series Big Little Lies opposite Oscar winners Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

Kidman leaked Woodley's casting Saturday at India's Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.

David E. Kelley is penning the adaptation of Liane Moriarty's 2014 darkly comic novel about three three mothers (Kidman, Witherspoon and Woodley) of kindergartners whose seemingly perfect lives unravel to the point of murder.

Production on the eight-episode series begins in January.

HBO declined to comment.

Wow impressive trio if they get her to jump on board?

"Blacklist" Renewed For A Fourth Season

NBC has renewed its James Spader-led procedural "The Blacklist" for a fourth season.

Show creator Jon Bokenkamp revealed the news on a podcast this week, saying: "We knew about that a while ago, it's one of those things that's hard to keep quiet. But yes, we're renewed through the fourth season."

NBC has jumped ahead of several other networks by already renewing series for another season before the current one has even hit its halfway point. "Blindspot," "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D." are all already set to return for a further twenty-two episodes from next fall.

# 1409 I like the series, I think he is very good.  I also like Megan Boon who plays Elizabeth Keen.
I never recognised James Spader as the same guy who was in

'Homeland' & 'The Affair' Renewed By Showtime

Showtime has renewed flagship drama series Homeland for a sixth season and its companion, sophomore The Affair, for a third. The pickups come with two more episodes left in the shows' current seasons.

The-Emmy-winning Homeland, which righted the ship creatively in Season 4 after a lackluster third season, has been a solid ratings performer, drawing 2.4 million viewers in Live+3 for its most recent episode. The Golden Globe-winning The Affair has been softer, most recently logging 1.4 million viewers. Still, both shows have edged the other original series on premium cable in the fourth quarter.

Both will wrap their current seasons on Sunday December 20th with 'The Affair' getting an extended 70-minute finale. Production will begin on their new seasons next Spring ahead of a fourth-quarter airing.

Homeland chuffed to bits absolutely love the show! especially the brilliant Claire Danes.
