#1305 It's a mystery to me why it is not airing in the UK yet.  Perhaps it will do so next year?

Supergirl has not premiered yet!

Melissa Benoist will take flight as the title character when CBS’ Supergirl series has its premiere on Monday, October 26. There it will enjoy an extended pilot episode, before making the jump to its regular slot the following week.

Supergirl Taps Salem Actor As DC Hero Red Tornado - But There's A Twist

There's a storm brewing in National City this fall, Iddo Goldberg.

The Salem actor has been cast in Supergirl as Dr. T.O. Morrow, better known to DC Comics fans as the creator of android Red Tornado.

Goldberg will not only play Morrow on the CBS series, but Red Tornado, as well. According to the official character description, "Red Tornado is the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate superweapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City - including the people Supergirl cares about most."

Interestingly, T.O. Morrow and Red Tornado are not the same person in the original comics, nor is Red Tornado a villain, as it seems he might be on the small-screen adaptation.

In addition to his role on WGN America's Salem, Goldberg's TV credits include Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Peaky Blinders, Mob City and Spike TV's recent miniseries Tut.

Supergirl takes off Monday, Oct. 26, at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.

Hawaii Five-0 Casts Sarah Carter As Steve's GF - What About Catherine?

On the heels of Falling Skies airing its series finale, Sarah Carter has booked a recurring arc on CBS' Hawaii Five-0 - in a role that casts a pall on a certain island romance.

Carter will play Lynn, a nature enthusiast who stumbles upon some trouble whilst on an adventurous date with Alex O'Loughlin's Steve McGarrett.

That, of course, raises questions about how things will (or won't) progress for Steve and Catherine (played by Michelle Borth), who had a warmish if awkward reunion in the Season 5 finale, when she returned to Hawaii after bailing on her love a year prior to fight the good fight in Afghanistan.

"We play that [Steve/Catherine] uncertainty in the first couple episodes, "Five-0 showrunner Peter M. Lenkov told TVLine during our fall preview Q&A. He added: "There's a big change that's going to happen in their relationship."

Carter's previous TV credits include Direc TV's Rogue, CSI: NY, Dirty Sexy Money and Shark.

Hawaii Five-0 opens its new season on Friday, Sept. 25.

# 1311 I have the miniseries Tut to watch, but still haven't got round to watching the series as of yet due to other commitments with other shows.
But if it's pretty good that'll do for me.

Glenn Morshower Cast As General Sam Lane In 'Supergirl'

"Supergirl" has cast its General Sam Lane. "24" alum Glenn Morshower will play the military man in the CBS superhero show's freshman season.

General Lane is described as a powerful military lifer - and an overprotective father to both Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan Tatum) and her sister, Lois. His arrival in National City stirs up trouble for Supergirl when he enlists her in a dangerous government initiative. As "Supergirl" exec producer Greg Berlanti revealed to Variety, General Lane will have an affiliation with Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg).

Marvel's 'Luke Cage': Theo Rossi Cast, Rosario Dawson To Reprise 'Daredevil' Role

Netflix's Marvel series Luke Cage has added two more key players. Sons Of Anarchy standout Theo Rossi has been cast as a regular opposite Mike Colter and Alfre Woodard in the third series from Marvel's four-series package for Netflix. Additionally, Rosario Dawson will reprise her Daredevil role as Claire Temple in Luke Cage. That makes sense since in the comic books, Claire is a romantic interest of Luke Cage. First introduced on Daredevil, Dawson's Claire also is set to appear in the second Marvel series, Jessica Jones - where Colter's Cage also will make his debut - before moving to Luke Cage.

Like most comic book adaptations, the breakdown for Luke Cage features fake character names. I hear Rossi was cast to play the "Sunny" role, described as relentless and menacing, smooth and manipulative, street smart and controlling. I hear that in fact Rossi would be playing Luke Cage's enemy Shades aka Alvarez, a well known criminal.

In Luke Cage, Colter plays Cage, a wrongly accused man who, granted super strength by a sabotaged experiment, escapes prison to become a superhero for hire. As we previously reported, Woodard is expected to play a version of Marvel villain Black Mariah, a nemesis to Luke Cage as well as Iron Fist

Rossi, best known for his role as Juan Carlos "Juice" Ortiz on FX's Sons of Anarchy, has Low Riders in the works, opposite Eva Longoria, and also co-stars in the Jon Cassar -directed When The Tough Beaks.

Once Upon A Time: Meghan Ory To Return As Ruby In Season 5

"I hope there's a full moon this year, "Once Upon a Time" co-creator Eddy Kitsis coyly offered up as part of TVLine's Fall Preview Q&A. "You never know who might come out"

Well, now we know - for certain.

We can confirm exclusively that Meghan Ory is set to reprise her role as Ruby for multiple episodes during the ABC series' Season 5A arc, which kicks off Sunday, Sept. 27.

After parting ways with Once to co-headline CBS' Intelligence during the 2013-14 TV season, Ory most recently appeared as Ruby in the Season 3 finale, when all of Storybrooke squeezed into Granny's for the Charmings' baby naming.

Prior to Once, Ory's TV credits included episodes of True Justice, Supernatural, Psych and NBC's Knight Rider reboot.

Marvel's 'Luke Cage' Adds Frank Whaley

I've learned that Frank Whaley has joined the cast of Netflix's Marvel series Luke Cage. He will play the recurring role of Detective Scarfe, a hard-nosed detective, in the third series in Marvel's four-series package for Netflix.

Mike Colter stars as Luke Cage, a wrongly accused man who, granted super strength by a sabotaged experiment, escapes prison to become a superhero for hire. Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick and Theo Rossi co-star, with Rosario Dawson reprising her from Daredevil.

Whaley, recently wrapped production on the ABC miniseries Madoff, opposite Richard Dreyfuss. He can also be seen in the upcoming features, Paramount's Monster Trucks and indie comedy The Outskirts. Whaley's fourth feature as writer/director, Like Sunday, Like Rain, was released earlier this year.

'Time After Time' Kevin Williamson Time-Travel Drama About HG Wells Set At ABC

The Following and Stalker creator Kevin Williamson has set up his next series project - a drama based on the 1979 novel Time After Time by Karl Alexander. ABC has bought the project, from Warner Bros. TV where Williamson is under a deal, with a script commitment.

Using the 1979 novel and movie as a starting point, Time After Time will chronicle the epic adventures of young H.G. Wells and his Time Machine.

In the book and and in the feature starring Malcolm McDowell, David Warner and Mary Steenburgen, H.G. Wells - the bestselling author of The Time Machine and War Of The Worlds - has invented a time machine. He shows the contraption to his friends, oblivious to the fact that one of them, surgeon Leslie John Stephenson, is in fact the infamous Jack the Ripper. When Scotland Yard detectives get on Stevenson's trail, the murderer uses the time machine to flee to the future, getting transported to 1979 San Francisco. He is quickly followed by Wells who is trying to bring him to justice.

Williamson will write the script and will executive produce Time After Time through his Outerbanks Entertainment and WBTV. The writer-producer, repped by WME, also co-created WBTV's long-running CW drama The Vampire Diaries, created Dawson's Creek and wrote the Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer horror staples.

Blindspot And Jaimie Alexander All Inked Up

After Jaimie Alexander's time on Blindspot comes to an end, something tells us she'll never want to set foot in a tattoo parlor again.

Fortunately for the star of NBC's freshman drama - in which Alexander's Jane Doe emerges naked in Times Square with no memories of her past, and with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, which begins to follow the road map on her body into a larger conspiracy of crime, while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity.

No needles are involved in getting the actress inked up, which needed a multi-hour process and countless press-on tattoos that bring Jane Doe to life.

The cast includes Sullivan Stapleton ("300: Rise of an Empire," "Strike Back"), Jaimie Alexander ("Thor: The Dark World," "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), Marianne Jean-Baptiste ("Broadchurch," "Without a Trace"), Rob Brown ("Treme"), Audrey Esparza ("Blackbox"), Ukweli Roach ("The Royals") and Ashley Johnson ("Much Ado About Nothing").

The pilot was pretty enjoyable, this could be a great show if Blindspot can manage to strike the right balance of satisfying the needs of the viewers and all the new mysteries that follow in the series.

Blindspot premieres Monday, Sept. 21, at 10/9c.

#1319 I thought the idea for the story sounded promising but I'm not so sure about a continuing Jack The Ripper chase.  I will watch it when it comes out to see how it progresses.

#1320 This too could be an interesting series.  Cameron Baum/Phillips asked Jody about senna. Perhaps it is used in this series?
