'Sleepy Hollow' Promotes Pair To Series Regular

Fox is continuing to fine-tune Sleepy Hollow.

The genre series has promoted Lance Gross and to series regulars for its upcoming third season.

Crisis alum Gross closed a deal in late July to join the series in a major recurring role as Daniel Reynolds, the FBI special agent in charge - aka Abbie's (Nicole Beharie) new boss. Harvard educated and following training at Quantico, Reynolds quickly made a name for himself at the bureau with tenacity and political savvy. His assignment to Sleepy Hollow reunites him with Abbie.

Appelman, meanwhile, appeared briefly as Joe Corbin, the son of August Corbin (Clancy Brown), who was cursed as a Wendigo when viewers first saw him in season two. A marine, tough and all-American, he joins forces with Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) to look into his father's work which will be an asset to Crane & Abbie's mission.

Sleepy Hollow continues to retool for season three. Gross and Appelman join new series regulars Nikki Reed - Betsy Ross - and Shannyn Sossamon (as mystery woman Pandora). The series, which moved from North Carolina to Atlanta, is undergoing a creative reboot under new showrunner Campbell (The Glades).

Sleepy Hollow returns on its new night Thursday, Oct. 1 at 9 p.m.

Alfre Woodard Joins Marvel's "Luke Cage"

Acclaimed actress Alfre Woodard is near a deal to join the cast of Marvel's Netflix drama series "Luke Cage".

Cage (Mike Colter) will be introduced in this fall's "Jessica Jones" series before spinning off into his own show. In 'Jones', former superhero turned private investigator Jessica (Krysten Ritter) encounters Cage whose past secrets will dramatically alter her life.

Woodard would play Minetta, a powerful woman in politics who impacts the life of the hero. It's suggested she may be a version of villain Black Mariah, a nemesis to both Cage and Iron Fist.

The series is scheduled to air sometime in 2016.

You have a very valid point.
I saw a program on crocodiles last night.
The Australian warden told us, "if you see a crocile close up, before you have time to think, you're a gonna".

The 100 Season 3 Adds Brenda Strong As An Ice Queen

Fairly little is known of the Ice Nation in the post-apocalyptic world of The 100.

What we know now is that Brenda Strong will be front and center as Queen Nia of the Ice Nation.

Strong is known for her work as the long-time narrator and dearly departed neighborhood friend on Desperate Housewives, and more recently, as Ann Ewing on the Dallas revival.

The Queen has reigned over her nation for many years while "holding onto power through ruthlessness and savvy." Further details about her character say, "She does what she must to maintain her power, even when it puts her at odds with those closest to her."

She sounds like any any good queen, right? And a lot like many of the other strong and worthwhile female leaders who have found themselves going head-to-head on earth recently.

Strong is one of several new adult cast members for The 100 Season 3, including Zach McGowan as a rogue Grounder and Michael Beach as Pike, a touch and charismatic Arker we will soon get to know.

The Flash Casts Newcomer As Heroine Speedster Jesse Quick

The Flash is adding a little girl power to its expanding company of Speedsters.

Newcomer Violett Beane has been tapped to join Season 2 as DC Comics accelerator Jesse Quick.

Beane's Jesse --- who will appear in multiple episodes of the CW smash --- is characterized as a brilliant but quirky college student who gets caught up in the battle between The Flash and Season 2 Big Bad (the not-yet-cast) Zoom.

DC Wiki, meanwhile, describes Jesse Quick as "the alter-ego of Jesse Chambers, a heroine with super-speed powers. Chambers is the daughter of Golden Age heroes Johnny Quick and Liberty Belle, she would later go on to adopt her mother's name. Her speed powers are accessed by speaking a special formula, although she also has her mother's abilities."

Beane recently finished shooting a role opposite Michael Ian Black in the indie comedy Slash.

The Flash returns Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 8/7c on The CW.

Demore Barnes Cast As "Flash's" Tokamak

A new report reveals that "The Flash" has started to round out its cast for season two. ComicBook.com has confirmed with the CW that Demore Barnes ("Hemlock Grove," "The Unit") will appear on the show as Henry Hewitt, a character better known to Firestorm fans as Tokamak.

The network describes Barnes' new role as "a charming, but cocky scientist who was affected by the same Particle Accelerator explosion that created the Flash. When Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) recruits him to join the team at S.T.A.R. Labs, Hewitt jumps at the opportunity to fulfill his destiny as a powerful meta-human."

Tokamak has only appeared in a handful of comics since his debut in 1983's "Firestorm" #15, but those appearances span decades. In the comics, Hewitt acted as the CEO of the Hewitt Corporation, a position he tried to use to conquer the United States' energy market.

From the description, it sounds like Barnes' Hewitt will be another one of the show's memorable rogue-of-the-weeks.

"The Flash" returns to the CW on Tuesday, October 6.

#1298 Whilst reading this article, the name Liberty Bell immediately brought back memories. It was a famous bomber/gun aeroplane that was used during the US world war II.
Here's a link for those that would like to see it:

Meanwhile, here a nice picture of Violett Beane's face

#1299, also, the guy mentioned in the posting #1299 might be familiar to Summer Glau.  Here's a picture of him.

# 1300 I found this Kevin. The Liberty Belle landed at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, flown by Don Brooks, son of a tail gunner who completed 34 missions during the war.

The flight is in memory of his father Elton Brooks, it took off from Maine on June 30 and landed in Canada, Greenland, Iceland and Prestwick before arriving at Duxford 65 years to the day on 4th July 2008 arriving on English soil for the first time since World War Two,

The iconic aircraft became the first to complete the 8,000-mile flight from U.S. soil since the end of the Second World War.

Nice picture of Violett very piercing eyes and oh so pretty!
I take it Summer and Demore came across one or another in the The Unit.

The Flash Casts Candyman Star Tony Todd

Barry Allen will be facing off with a true horror icon this fall on The Flash.

Candyman actor Tony Todd is lending his voice to the CW series to portray the DC Comics villain Zoom.

Aside from starring in the Candyman horror series, Todd has appeared in 24 as well as DC animated shows Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Young Justice.

He also made a live-action appearance in Smallville back in 2001.

Only Todd's voice will be used for Zoom at least initially because one of the season's mysteries will be who is really behind the rogue's mask.

A key storyline beginning in episode two - titled 'Flash of Two Worlds' will be college-age speedster Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) caught in the middle of a war between Barry Allen and time traveller Zoom.

Zoom has been a recurring enemy in DC's The Flash range for the last 14 years, primarily as an enemy for Wally West.

The CW's series is introducing Keiynan Lonsdale as a teenaged version of Wally West in season two, while also bringing in fellow speedster Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears).

The CW kicks off season two of The Flash on October 6 in the US. Sky1 airs the show in the UK.

First look at Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane in CBS's Supergirl.

Jenna Dewan Tatum as Lucy Lane in CBS's Supergirl

Lucy is Lois Lane’s younger sister in a recurring role on the highly anticipated new CBS drama series.

Executive producer Ali Adler talks about how Lucy Lane’s arrival will have an impact on Supergirl.

Quote
We hope to explore the history that Lucy has with James Olsen — or, as Lucy knows him, Jimmy Olsen. I think we’re going to bring in her father. She not only plays a romantic foil with whatever Kara and James are brewing, but people will also be surprised that she’s really a woman’s woman. She and Kara develop their own friendship, too. We’re not just bringing her in to purposefully create tension. She serves a larger story drive.

#1305 It's a mystery to me why it is not airing in the UK yet.  Perhaps it will do so next year?
