For anyone that viewed True Detective, would have seen a similar scenario to 'The Notebook'.
This is only a guess, but I think it was a nice touch.  Thinking back. 'Sleepy Hollow' has a mixed race relationship, which I also think it is nice - admittedly I watched the first 10 to 15 episodes but it was not quite me, so I stopped because I'm not in to 'repetitive supernatural characters constantly rising from obliteration'.

The makers of Homeland are certainly not pulling any punches and delving in to dodgy subjects where a lot of resentment exists.  I won't mention any races or countries but I think people know what I mean.  People don't forget, that's the problem that governments create through their actions dating back more than 1k years - In my opinion.

# 1278 Absolutely! It's no holds barred with Homeland.
Mainstream media is like the twilight zone. Where important matters are ignored and trivial matters plastered all over the airwaves.

The X-Files Recruits Annabeth Gish To Reprise Role As Agent Reyes

It's confirmed. Annabeth Gish will be a part of The X-Files revival!

Gish will be once again playing Agent Monica Reyes for one installment of the upcoming Fox revival.

Don't expect her partner, played by Robert Patrick, to be a part of the excitement, however. The Scorpion star will not be picking up his old badge this time around.

Agent Reyes was last seen helping Scully and Mulder elude capture in the original series finale of The X-Files.

She has most recently been seen in Pretty Little Liars and Sons of Anarchy.

Gish joins fellow returnees William B. Davis, Mitch Pileggi, Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood and Bruce Harwood among others.

The X-Files returns on Fox, Sunday, Jan, 24 before settling into its regular time slot the following Monday.

Brit Morgan Is Livewire In "Supergirl"

"True Blood" and "Graceland" actress Brit Morgan has been cast as DC Comics villain Livewire (a.k.a. Leslie Willis) in one episode of the upcoming first season of CBS' "Supergirl" series.

This version has Leslie as a confident, abrasive and funny shock-jock who works for CatCo Media. When an accident makes her as dangerous and shocking as her words, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must stop her.

This marks the latest DC Comics character inclusion to the series which will see guest stars like Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord, Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy Lane, Chris Browning as Reactron, along with the still to be cast Sam Lane, Red Tornado and Non.

Castle: Adam Baldwin Returning In Season 8

Adam Baldwin (Firefly) is making a return visit to Castle in the upcoming eighth season.

Baldwin first appeared in the fourth season as Detective Ethan Slaughter, a rough cop with crude methods that Castle (Nathan Fillion) did a ride along with in the episode titled "Headhunters."

Details on what brings Slaughter back into the fold are being kept under wraps, but he'll appear in an episode slated for early in the season. Just spitballing, but with Beckett becoming captain, Castle might need someone else to ride along with besides new addition Hayley Shipton (Toks Olagundoye).

Castle returns Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

The "Red" Films Are Becoming A TV Series

NBC has announced plans to develop "Red," an hourlong TV series based on the film franchise.

The franchise's writers Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber along with producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are re-teaming for the small screen version which Lionsgate TV and Di Bonaventura Pictures Television would produce.

Released in 2010 and 2013, the action comedies are inspired by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner's limited comic book series of the same name which followed a group of REDs (Retired Extremely Dangerous operatives) who return to action after the CIA sends assassins after one of them.

Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren and Karl Urban starred in the films with the first one grossing $200 million worldwide.

The TV series version will keep the core concept of the films along with the darkly comedic tone, but set it in a more grounded and believable world.

#1284 above. He's an interesting looking character.  I wonder how the Make-up people will alter his looks?

Leo Fitzpatrick

I hope I've got the right guy, as his name does not appear in this link yet:

Supergirl Casts 'Peter Pan'

After taking a trip to Neverland this October, Pan star Levi Miller will make a beeline for National City.

The young actor - who plays the title role in this fall's big-screen Peter Pan origin story - has been cast in CBS' Supergirl as Carter Grant, the son of Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant.

Miller is set to make his Supergirl debut in Episode 4. Per the official character description, 12-year-old Carter is "sensitive and shy" and "couldn't be more different from his mum." As Melissa Benoist's Kara babysits her boss's son and gets to know him better, "Carter finally opens up to her - revealing his true feelings for Supergirl."

The gig reunites Miller with Greg Berlanti (an EP on both Supergirl and Pan). "We loved working with him so much on Pan, we were excited to bring him into Supergirl's universe," said Berlanti and his fellow Supergirl producers in a joint statement to TVLine . "He's an exceptional young actor and a part of the Berlanti Productions family. It will be fun for audiences, who we know will fall in love with him as Peter in Pan on Oct 9th, to see his range with his turn as Calista Flockhart's American son."

It should be noted that Miller's character is independent of Adam Morgan, Cat's son who appeared in the DC Comics.

Miller previously appeared on Fox's short-lived Terra Nova and can also be seen in the forthcoming Blue Dog.

Supergirl takes flight Monday, Oct. 26, at 8:30/7:30c, before moving into its regular Mondays-at-8 time slot on Nov. 2.

Gotham Launching Season 2 Firefly Arc (And There's A Cool Casting Twist)

Gotham is about to experience a major heat wave.

The DC Comics supervillain known as Firefly will touch down in Season 2 of Fox's Batman drama - but, in a canon-tweaking twist, the traditionally testosterone-tinged Big Bad will be female.

Sources confirm that relative newcomer Michelle Veintimilla (Lifetime's Those Who Kill) will play the infamous firestarter - and her human alter ego Bridgit Pike - in two late fall episodes.

Here's the official character description: Enslaved by her brothers, a notorious gang of arsonists, Bridgit is forced into the family business. When she catches the eye of Selina Kyle, the young Cat Woman and the soon-to-be-Firefly team up to put Bridgit's firestarting skills to good use. But after a deadly encounter with the Pike Brothers, the meek Cinderella is transformed into a vengeful supervillain, hell bent on destroying those who have wronged her.

Veintimilla, known to Broadway audiences as the younger version of Chita Rivera's character in The Visit, will appear in this season's fifth and sixth episodes.

Gotham returns Monday, Sept. 21, at 8/7c

Syfy Cancels Supernatural Drama 'Haven'

Syfy has cancelled "Haven," pulling the plug on the supernatural drama ahead of the premiere of the second half of its fifth season.

The series, which stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant, Nicholas Campbell and Eric Balfour and was developed by Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn, is based on the Stephen King novel "The Colorado Kid." A mid-tier sci-fi show for the NBC Universal Cable-owned channel, it performed solidly for the first couple seasons but never quite caught as much buzz as other programming.

The second half of "Haven's" fifth season is set to premiere Oct. 8.

Probably one of the best shows they've had on Syfy in years, I quite enjoyed the show.

Those Wesen don't know what they're in for.

Grimm returns to NBC on Friday, Oct. 30 (9/8c).
