WATCH THE OPENING SEQUENCE TO 12 MONKEYS

Quote
We're just a couple of weeks away from the debut of 12 Monkeys on Syfy and now you can get an early look at how the show kicks off. Yahoo has debuted the opening nine-minus sequence to the TV series, which is based on the 1995 Terry Gilliam film that starred Bruce Willis, Madeleine Stowe and Brad Pitt.

In the new version, Aaron Stanford (X2, Nikita) stars as Cole, a man from 2043 - an era when most of humanity has been wiped out thanks to a horrific viral outbreak. In the opening sequence, seen below, Cole travels back to our recent past to contact Cassandra Railly (Suits' Amanda Schull), believing she may be able to help him alter the course of time and stop the virus from ever occurring

# 1067  Looking forward to this one with anticipation I enjoyed the movie of '12 Monkeys'  Whether it will match the movie who knows but It's probably worth watching. I certainly liked the first nine minutes of the show. The material is far more captivating than I expected.
Kirk Acevedo is a good actor I liked him in (Band of Brothers TV mini-series).

Mark Margolis Lands Role As DC Comics' Felix Faust On 'Constantine'

Breaking Bad's Mark Margolis is ringing in the new year with a magical new role.

EW can confirm that Margolis, who played Hector Salamanca on Breaking Bad, will star in an upcoming episode of NBC's Constantine as Felix Faust.

Faust should be a recognizable name to DC Comics fans, as the sorcerer has primarily been a foe fighting against the Justice League. He does have ties to Constantine in The New 52-era of the exorcists adventures. He's one of several DC staples to appear or be hinted at on the show, including a nod to Doctor Fate, and the appearance of Jim Corrigan, the Spectre, earlier this season.

Faust has appeared in animated form on DC shows like Justice League and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, but this is his first live-action appearance.

Margolis will debut as Faust in "Quid Pro Quo," which airs Jan. 23. In the episode, John investigates why thousands of people across Brooklyn have fallen into a mysterious coma, and Chas' daughter is among them. Constantine returns to NBC on Friday, Jan. 16 at 8 p.m.

'Spartacus' Star Liam McIntyre Cast As 'Flash' Villain Weather Wizard

Spartacus is coming to Central City. Variety has confirmed that Liam McIntyre, who played the slave-turned-rebel leader in seasons three and four of the cult Starz series, will play Mark Mardon, brother to Clyde (Chad Rook) - who was the first meta-human to tangle with the Flash (Grant Gustin) in the series premiere.

After his brother's untimely death, Mark returns to Central City to get justice, using his powers -  similar to Clyde's ability to control the weather - to go on a rampage in order to find the man that shot Clyde:  Joe West (Jesse L. Martin). McIntyre will appear in episodes 15 and 16 of the freshman series.

McIntyre will be the first "Spartacus" alum to venture to "The Flash," but many of the thesp's former co-stars already inhabit the superhero's world, thanks to guest appearances on "Flash's" sister series and antecedent, "Arrow." Fellow "Spartacus" alums who have appeared in Starling City include Manu Bennett as Deathstroke (who will return in episode 14 of "Arrow's" third season); Nick Tarabay as Captain Boomerang: Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Amanda Waller; and Katrina Law as Nyssa al Ghul.

"The Flash" returns Jan. 20 at 8 p.m. on the CW.

Britne Oldford Cast As Lashawn Baez On The CW's "Flash"

Canadian actress Britne Oldford ("Skins," "American Horror Story") has been cast as Lashawn Baez on The CW's "Flash". Lashawn Baez is apparently based on the DC Comics character Shawna Baez, better known as the reluctant teleporting villain Peek-A-Boo.

Oldford will reportedly play the girlfriend to Micah Parker's character, an Iron Heights inmate who convinces his significant other to break him out of prison and use her powers to pull off one last heist.

The CW Mulling DC Comics Series Atom For Arrow, Flash Universe?

The CW is in "preliminary discussions" about a possible third DC Comics series - potentially starring Brandon Routh as Atom - to fit in the same universe as Arrow and The Flash.

The Flash launched on The CW to record ratings last fall, after lead actor Grant Gustin established the character Barry Allen in Arrow.

Both series have introduced additional DC Comics heroes this season, with Atom (Routh) showing up in Arrow and Firestorm (Robbie Amell) appearing in The Flash.

Mark Pedowitz, president of The CW, told reporters at the TCA press tour on Sunday (January 11) that the network is considering "expanding" the shared universe further.

"We are having some preliminary discussions about expanding [that]universe, but we have not vetted them out," Pedowitz said. "Could there be another hour in that universe? Possibly. As long as there's no audience fatigue."

Pedowitz added that Arrow and The Flash will likely have annual crossover specials, following on from the success of last December's two-part adventure.

Fox Gives "Minority Report" A Pilot Order

Fox has officially handed out a pilot order for the proposed TV series based on Steven Spielberg's 2002 sci-fi feature "Minority Report".

"Godzilla" screenwriter Max Borenstein was hired back in September to write the pilot script, and Kevin Falls has signed on to serve as showrunner and executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg, Max Borenstein, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey.

The series will be set ten years after the end of Precrime in D.C. in the first film. One of the Precogs now struggles to lead a normal life, but he continues to have haunting visions of the future.

He soon meets a detective haunted by her past who may help the precog find a purpose for his
abilities.

Interesting, so to speak, maybe they are continuing the adventures in the world of format.

Last time Thomas was on Good Day LA was for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Quote
In the new FOX series ‘Backstrom', Portland detective Everett Backstrom (played by Rainn Wilson) heads the special crimes unit, investigating the city's most serious and sensitive cases - all while trying, and failing, to change his self-destructive behavior. His tenant, decorator, and underworld connection Gregory Valentine, is played by Thomas Dekker.

Thomas kills the interview! Charismatic, funny and articulate all at the same time. How does he do it?

David E. Kelley Plans "Mr. Mercedes" Series

"Boston Legal" creator David E. Kelley is reportedly planning a TV series adaptation of Stephen King's 2014 novel "Mr. Mercedes".

The hard-boiled detective tale, the first of a proposed trilogy (with the second due in May) deals with a psychotic killer committing mass murder by driving his titular car into a crowd. A recently retired cop soon makes it his mission to track the man down.

In a statement, Kelly says: "This is an amazing opportunity to adapt a script from material penned by one of the world's most acclaimed and accomplished authors. Mr. Mercedes is a great story that will translate beautifully to the screen if I don't mess it up."

Frequent "Lost" director Jack Bender is also involved in the series.

Syfy is developing the one-hour drama series "51st State" which Fox 21 TV Studios and Chernin Entertainment will produce.

The story is set in a near future when the U.S. Government deals with its overcrowded prison problem by purchasing Greenland and converting it into a frontier prison colony with male and female convicts incarcerated together.

After promises of conditional freedom are broken, the inmates struggle to seize control and exact revenge. "Dallas Buyers Club" co-writer Craig Borten penned the show which Borten, Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope will executive produce.
