CBS and corporate sibling The CW have handed out pilot orders to drama projects from the team behind Sleepy Hollow and The Expendables" Basil Iwanyk, respectively.

Scorpion, which has received a pilot order at CBS, hails from Breakout Kings co-creator Nick Santora, Alex Kurtzman, Robert Orci and director Justin Lin. SyFy UK Shifts "Lost Girl" To New Time-Slot

Lost Girl is on the move. SyFy UK is making a slight change to their schedules and are now moving the Canadian drama series forward an hour from its current berth at 10pm on Thursdays to the 9pm slot.

The move, which is effective immediately, comes after the series has suffered from sagging ratings on SyFy UK for its fourth season, with the season premiere averaging only 106K viewers. Though still above the slot-average and a decent number for SyFy UK, it is nevertheless down from the 140K who watched the season three premiere and the show"s average audience of 220K viewers for season two.

Fox"s "Batman" Prequel Casts "Southland" Star In Lead Role

Gotham has found its Gordon.

Ben McKenzie has landed the lead role in Fox

Ben McKenzie has landed the lead role in Fox"s buzzy Batman prequel pilot. The actor is going from The O.C. to Southland to Gotham City, playing Detective James Gordon (who, of course, eventually becomes Commissioner Gordon).

The series focuses on Gordon and explores the origin stories of Gotham City"s most legendary residents, including a young Batman, The Joker and The Penguin. Bruno Heller (The Mentalist, Rome) wrote the pilot script and serves as executive producer. Danny Cannon (CSI, Nikita) will direct and executive produce the pilot from Warner Bros. Television.

Last month, Fox"s entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters that Gotham will be a true origin story, with the characters largely not wearing their iconic costumes. "We"re not starting in that world where the villains are in costume, "he said. "You see markers for it that are delicious you see where the evolution and eccentricity where they become those characters. We don"t start off with capes and costumes."

State Of Syn (2013-)  7.2  IMDb Rating /  Jewel Staite / David Hewlett

Featuring 10 five-minute narrative episodes, State Of Syn takes place in a futuristic society where instability reigns but one commodity remains accessible to all: technology. The storyline follows Annika Drake (Staite) and her friends who, following the unexplained death of her father, are pulled into a twisted mystery surrounding his former company, emerging tech giant Psylo5ense. Now run by her father"s former business partner Aslin Kane (Hewlett), Psylo5ense is manufacturing a highly addictive new sensory experience called Vibe - a digital technology simulating a neurological condition called synesthesia  - which is poised to become the new opiate of the masses.

Sounds really Interesting. great to see Jewel Staite back been a while since I have seen Jewel in a show. and Jewel is in a lead role as well.

Fox"s " Batman " Prequel Casts 4 Roles Including Penguin

Fox"s Batman prequel Gotham has filled four major roles, including The Penguin and Alfred Pennyworth.

Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot (aka the Penguin, - just imagine him in a monocle!). He"s described as having "the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal, Oswald Cobblepot is a low-level psychopath for gangster Fish Mooney who hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor."

Zabryna Guevara (Burn Notice) as Captain Essen: "Gordon"s boss at the GCPD Homicide Squad, Captain Essen balances the two worlds of police and politics with a Machiavellian skill that"s as much corporate litigator as cop."

Sean Pertwee (Event Horizon) as Alfred Pennyworth."A tough-as-nails ex-marine from East London, Alfred Pennyworth has loyally served the Waynes. Now, in the wake of their tragic deaths, he"s fiercely protective of the young Bruce Wayne."

Erin Richards (Being Human) as Barbara Kean: "A sophisticated emergency room doctor, Barbara is the fiancee of James Gordon, joyful but with an edge of vulnerability. She stands by her future husband - which can be difficult in a world as corrupt as Gotham."

"Arrow" Actor Joins ABC Pilot " Clementine "

Here"s a bit of casting news that might hint at upcoming events on Arrow. Deadline reports that recurring villain Sebastian Blood might be on the way out, as actor Kevin Alejandro has signed on to play a major part in the upcoming ABC pilot Clementine.

The project focus on a woman named Clementine, who happens to be a psychic. Alejandro will play her ex-boyfriend and the father of her daughter Charlie Madsen.

Throughout the second season of Arrow, Alejandro"s Sebastian Blood - who also goes by the alter ego Brother Blood - has been putting on a good public face, but behind the scenes continues to further his own evil plans while also working for Slade AKA (Deathstroke). If the actor is looking around for other work, it could imply that Blood doesn"t fare so well as we get closer to the end of season 2.
