New FOX drama Alcatraz is coming to FOX midseason 2012. JJ Abrams (Alias, Lost, Star Trek, Super 8) is behind this new serie about the famous island.
What's it talking about? : prisoners and guards reappear 30 years after their disappearance (and the official closing of the prison). FBI agents and a female cop try to uncover the mystery.
The island theme and the mysterious disappearances are not the only common element with Lost since Jose Garcia (Hurley in Lost) will star.
It seems it will be a "Prisoner of the week" type serie but mixed with mystery elements, ala Lost or Flashforward or The Event.
