Dedicated Browncoats had the opportunity to play movie extras in Joss Whedon's Serenity and have filed detailed reports from the set of the Firefly sequel. This is a spoiler-free tour of the set and several filmed scenes during the shooting of Serenity. They also took pictures of their extraordinary adventure, including some with Summer Glau.
Director Joss Whedon and actors Summer Glau and Nathan Fillion made the opening of the 38th Sitges Film Festival on October 9th, 2005 with Serenity.
While the three of them were on stage to introduce the screening of Serenity to the audience, Joss Whedon thanked the audience, the director of the festival and the two movie stars and, in Whedon's own worlds, "particularly Summer Glau, in whose presence we are all underdressed".
While Summer Glau played in Joss Whedon's tv show Dollhouse, she didn't play a "doll" but a scientist with a trouble past. That said, Summer Glau has a thin frame, a radiant, porcelain complexion, big eyes and delicate doll-like features, it is therefore no surprise that some people refers to her as a doll.
