Ready for some juicy connection between DC's Arrow and Marvel's Agents of SHIELD (well, upcoming Agent Carter series to be precise)?

Here it is: Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim is married to Tara Butters who will be develop the upcoming Agent Carter series.

Quote
Marc Guggenheim and his wife of nine years, Tara Butters, are about to test their marriage. The writer-producer power couple, who met on Law & Order (he at big L&O, she at SVU), now work for historic rivals: Guggenheim, 43, is an executive producer on The CW's DC Comics adaptation Arrow, and Butters, 42, is developing Marvel's Captain America TV spinoff Agent Carter for ABC (in addition to the network's Resurrection, premiering March 9).

Actually Chris, Jennifer Lawrence is from my home state of Kentucky. But watching her fall for the second time in the row is funnier than hell!!

The world is cruel...so I laugh at the irony.

Arrow's Stephen Amell never hid the fact that he wanted to play the emerald archer in the announced Justice League film; although his campaign in the medias had not been as successful as he had been hoped and the people in charge of the DC cinematic universe remained deaf to his calls.

In related news, Stephen Amell was pissed off when DC didn't just go with The Flash's Grant Gustin for their Cinematic Universe and announced Ezra Miller would play The Flash in the upcoming movie. It seems Dc and Marvel have a completely opposite vision when it comes to crossover the cinametic and television universe. Too bad for Stephen.

And now he's campaigning to get a role in the upcoming TOG GUN 2 movie, judging from his recent tweet.

I understand perfectly Stephen's desire to start playing in "the big league" (pun intended) and get a role in a blockbuster but I personally prefers Nathan Fillion's more humble approach.

I love the sci-fi B-movies from the 50's. And I guess having female scientists on board was perceived as a positive representation of women.
Although the women are often seen serving men dinner or coffee, as in "It! The Terror from Beyond Space" (1958)

It! The Terror from Beyond Space

This scene would have been inconceivable nowadays. By comparison, Jessica Chastain plays the captain of the ship in "The Martian" (2015).
