Every new role is the opportunity to have a new look, sometime surprising like in Alphas; since Orwell was supposed to go in the field in disguise, they played with clothes and make up, indeed smile

Friday at 7am on TNT is the Angel episode "Waiting in the Wings". The acting debut of our own angel.

What bothers me is that there is no picture of Summer Glau as Orwell on this page; i will try to correct this asap.

OK, here's a pic from Episode 5 "Dice," where Orwell is wearing a wig for disguise.

Mammoth is sadly one of few low points in Summer's career. A horrible movie all around, and Summer playing a bratty teenage daughter, which is cliche in these types of films. Summer at least did well with what she was given.

She does get a brief dance scene though.

I watched Mammoth for the first time last year. I don't think there is anything good I can say about the film other than it has Summer Glau and Tom Skerrit in it, and sadly even they can't rescue this film despite their wonderful performances. The comedic elements looked forced, over the top, or cliched. The first 40 minutes of the film were unbearable, the rest was grin-n-bear-it until you got to a good bit, which sadly were too few. If you are a die-hard fan of Summer Glau, watch the movie for her, but then try to forget you ever watched it, and concentrate on the good films and TV shows she did.

@ riversfeet and The1Russter :

I heard a podcast on Mammoth made by serious geek critics a few weeks ago and they had a really good opinion of the movie, compared to other "Original Syfy movies".
I'd have to watch the movie again but i thought it was a good B-movie.

The movie had its moments, like the mammoth appearing at the teens outdoor party, the unfortunate death of Jack's boyfriend, and the end when they are trying to capture the beast. What really hurt the film was the extremely idiotic attempts at humor. Which is why I recommend skipping the first 40 minutes which has some of the worst. Once the sheriff deputies are dead, the movie remarkably improves, until Jack's father starts doing comedy bits then it falls again. If they didn't use use such stupid schtick, and focused on the drama, I think they would have had a pretty darn good film.

Good to see they are replaying most of the episodes where Summer had a larger role. Safe, Ariel, War Stories (to some extent). They missed Objects in Space.... sad
