This is a comic strip I've been working on for several months. It's called "Pet Projects". It's about a witch named Notle, and her two pets. A cat named Kaeley, and a dog named Spike. I finally found some people that were willing to let my comic be published. I wanted to share it with all of you. Here's the first one.

I was wondering, you said you had found people who were willing to publish your work : is that in a specialized magazine, a fanzine or an online comic site?

FeedTacoma.com it's sort of a news site for people who live in Tacoma, Washington. The comics aren't really "official" per se. Independent really. But who knows, maybe this'll give me publicity.

As you may know, i'm working with an amateur manga-style cartoonist on a comic continuation of TSCC and it's very difficult to break out in this field; as you say, being published online is a first step to fame wink

I like your sense of humour smile Notice i knew that already from your posts in other threads.

May i say that your universe is full of scifi names : "Spike" from Buffy and Angel, Charmed and Shannon Doherty, a witch

Not sure what the second pets name is though.

The cat's name is Kaeley, after an old friend of mine.

I never intended Spike to be named after anything by Joss Whedon. He's just Spike because I couldn't think of anything original, and it just seemed to fit.

Don't ask where the name Notle came from. It's embarrassing.

I don't believe you! THIS is the real source of your inspiration green

That reminds me the famous quote attributed to Ronald Coase: "If you torture the data long enough, it will confess to anything." smile

Awesome comics, riversfeet! Please keep them coming.

No, the first drawings I did of Kaeley Cat were back in June 2005. I hadn't seen Firefly yet, didn't even know of its existence then. And I didn't see Serenity until months later.
