Today, 20Jul2016 is Dean Winter's 52nd birthday. As we fans of TSCC know, he played Charley Dixon and was married to Michelle Dixon (played by Sonia Walger).
Here is an excerpt from episode 1_2 Gnothi Seauton: John visits Charlie's house. It is night-time. He picks the lock and lets himself in. He checks their mail: Charley and Michelle Dixon, 8223 Paper Street, Sherman Oaks CA 91372 the mail is from Union Credit C. 761 CC Drive, Wilmington DE 87241 with ref: B781FG391 – it transpired/transpires/appears that Charlie borrowed or owed money. The letter could be in relation to a mortgage or a monthly bill for items bought. His house was decent but not lavish - there is a picture of Charlie with his wife – she is nice looking. He picks up what could be a boat part, then Charley comes home & sees him. “John, Johnny, is that really you? It is you. I saw your mother on TV, I could barely believe my……I can’t believe this” He tells John that his wife is a nurse at the hospital where he works. John's meeting with Charley 'hurts his emotions' Here is a good question, why did John behave the way he did? He pushed Charley’s arms downwards and threw him to the floor. It hurt Charley as he yelled with pain.
Charley: (tentatively) So. Skynet. Robots. From the future. (points at Cameron) And you're a... Cameron: Yes, I'm a... Sarah: You need a... Charley: minute? Sarah: I was going to say a drink. Charley: Oh. Yeah. That too. . . . Charley: (looking at endoskeleton) Wow! (nervously) Hey, is that really necessary? It's dead right? or powered off? whatever? Cameron: Every component must destroyed beyond repair or recovery. Even a single unaccounted for piece of the endoskeleton could alter the course of technological evolution. And hasten the arrival of Judgment Day. Charley: Uh, Yeah? You know little girl, you freak me the hell out. On the outside you're just pretty as a picture. But on the inside... you're a... Cameron: Hyperalloy combat chassis. Charley: Is that a complicated way of saying robot? Cameron: Cybernetic organism. Living tissue over a metal endoskeleton. Charley: Ok. Scary robot. And here you are carving up this guy into chum. Cameron: He's not a guy. He's a scary robot. Charley: Ok. He's a scary robot? You. You are a VERY scary robot. Cameron: (Lights the Thermite) You should go. It's not safe for you here.
Cameron had to cut the flesh off, otherwise Kacy would have come over and invited herself to the barbecue after smelling the lovely cooking meat. Perhaps the future Resistance or Tunnel Rats used to destroy flesh covered Terminators and eat their flesh? Would you eat Cameron? (It's alright, Summer Glau will think its funny... I hope).
