Lego cuusoo is a website were one can post ideas and suggestions for lego sets.
If an idea receives enough votes it will be reviewed by the company and the suggested lego set might be produced.

A project needs 10,000 votes. The Serenity Firefly playset have at the moment around 9,468 votes

Serenity will look like this:

And the characters will look like this:

Inara (Morena Baccarin), Book (Ron Glass), Jayne (Adam Baldwin), Mal (Nathan Fillion), and Kaylee (Jewel Staite).

Wash (Alan Tudyk), Zoe (Gina Torres), Simon (Sean Maher), and River (Summer Glau).

Doesn't Lego know adults collect these sets that have film and TV tie-ins? Of course they do, which means their comment is code for, 'we don't think it will be profitable.' Lego has products for Star Wars and I would say those films have content less appropriate for 'children age 6-11' than Firefly/Serenity.

Huh, no!
Lego rejected the project because "the Firefly TV show and Serenity film contain content that is not appropriate for our core target audience of children ages 6-11."

Clever advertising for them though, even if they knew from the start they would never produce it.
