Serenity Fan Fest - Movie Props

Serenity Fan Fest, hosted by Universal Studios Hollywood on September 24th, 2005, gave fans of Firefly and Serenity the opportunity to meet members of the cast and crew,  view clips and behind-the-scenes footage from the film, meet the special effects team behind Serenity and also to see through their own eyes authentic movie props.

Here are rare HQ photos of the Serenity movie prop exhibits, taken by Browncoat David Mello, who gave us the permission to use his awesome photos for this blogpost. Outside of the Exhibit room, fans were greeted by the Mule itself, Serenity's own Work Horse; inside the room, they discovered a scale model of the 'reaverized' Serenity ship, props from inside the ship, weapons and other rarities like the Mirandamobile.

Unfortunately, i don't think such an exhibit would be possible now, with all the movie props scattered to the four winds.

Firefly fans can watch the Mule at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park, though; here's the video :

I hope you enjoyed the tour!
You can watch photos (sample below) and a video of the Q&A panel with Summer Glau, Adam Baldwin and Executive producer Chris Buchanan in this Blogpost.

Description of Photo #7 :
(Clockwise from top) Hologram disc, Reaver weapons, tools, Jayne's stolen St. Christopher medal,* books, and Young River's stylus

*While not in the final cut, in the Lilac heist Jayne took the security guard's St. Christopher medal [later seen over Jayne's yellow T-shirt], according to Adam Baldwin himself.)
Quote
It's a St. Christopher.
It was on the security guard that I grabbed the patch (later stitched on shirt for Fanty/Mingo bar scene) off during the heist.
Not enough screen time fer me in that scene to feature the scavenging/pilfering of St. Chris...
But ya'll know how I likes to work with the prop guys. :- )

The reaverized Serenity model (about 2 yards/meters long) was used for hard landing.
