Serenity banner: To our Big Damn Heroes on the Big Damn Movie

POSTED BY chrisdvanne ON Mar 09, 2013 / 1 COMMENTS

At the time Joss Whedon was filming Serenity, Firefly fans had the brilliant idea of sending a banner to their favorite creator, cast and crew to wish them success with Serenity. The customised printed PVC banner read: "To our BDH (Big Damn Heroes) on the BDM (Big Damn Movie). You've done the impossible and that makes you mighty. Browncoats got your back."

Chris Buchanan, executive producer on Serenity, took pictures of the cast and crew posing in front of that banner, and send a message; unfortunately, there was no photos of the female cast, as explained below:

The banner was a big hit with both the cast and crew.

Those were all the pix I was able to get yesterday...the female cast members tend to be in make-up and wardrobe longer and just weren't around when I was there (this was on the dining tent where everybody could (& did)see it. If I get more shots today, I'll forward.

Best,
Buchanan

And now the photos, with big shiney smiles on everyone's face (collage made by the Serenity crew):

I wonder if Chris Buchanan posted photos with the female cast
