Deadly Honeymoon - Wedding scene in paradise

POSTED BY chrisdvanne ON Mar 19, 2013 / 5 COMMENTS

Summer Glau embarked on 'Deadly Honeymoon', an original movie that premiered on Lifetime Movie Network on April 25,2010. She stepped away from what has been called her comfort zone — sci-fi — to play a very different role that's anything but comfortable.
The result is a mesmerizing performance by the San Antonio native that grabs your attention and keeps it right up to the unsettling end.

“Deadly Honeymoon” follows two young newlyweds, Lindsey (Summer Glau) and Trevor Forrest (Chris Carmack), as they embark on their 10-day honeymoon cruise. But the dream vacation devolves into a night of wild partying, infidelity and strange encounters with a group of Eastern European passengers, and the next morning, Trevor is missing, presumed to have fallen overboard to his death. However, one investigator (McLellan) begins to question if his death really was an accident."

The movie started shooting in Hawaii in September 2009 with the wedding scene; it has given rise to an amusing scene involving Summer Glau, her co-star Chris Carmack and her real-life boyfriend, illustrated through the following behind-the-scenes photos and accompanying caption:

HAWAII, HAWAII, - Wednesday September 30 2009. Summer Glau and Chris Carmack get hitched! Chris swept Summer off her feet as the couple "tied the knot" on a romantic Hawaiian beach as filming got underway for an as-yet-unnamed movie. In between takes, local surfers, fishermen and tourists could be seen going about their business whilst the Hollywood stars worked, Watching the wedding from the wings was Summer's real-life beau, who was quick to pick her up and whisk her away from hunky Carmack when filming was over. Hawaii is a brief visit for the film cast and crew as the main movie scenes are set upon a cruise ship.

It's funny but as far back as I can remember, I have often wondered whether many superstitious people would be wary about wearing a wedding dress in a film. Rather like being superstitious about black/white cats. I don't know whether Americans/French people have these superstitions. (Australians/Canadians too - do they have this fear?)

It worries me for Summer to wear a wedding dress..... twice. (And I'm not superstitious LOL).

I remember seeing some of those pictures.
That's twice that I know of Summer in a Wedding dress which the story ends in disaster.

Personal opinions are welcome, but ungrounded assumptions on what Summer likes or not are inappropriate and have been moderated.

What other wedding scene are you refering to?

Edit: sorry, i get it now smile

I'm not sure about wearing wedding dress in a movie but I know that people in the show business in general are quite superstitious, indeed.

And I'm not superstitious either smile
