This January will mark the 5th Anniversary of the premiere of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. To celebrate this anniversary and remind the fans of the greatness of the show and its cast, here are two Behind the Scenes videos on the set of TSCC.
Virgin 1 UK broadcast two specials to promote Terminator : The Sarah Connor Chronicles, before the second season started in UK on October 2008; the 30 minutes shows, presented by Sarah Cawood, are packed with exclusive interviews with the serie's cast and crew and excerpts from the show.
Virgin 1 Special - TSCC: Behind the Scenes
The behind the scenes footage with Summer Glau and Lena Headey all dressed up for the filming of TSCC S02Ep10 'Strange Thing's Happen at the One Two Point' are great.
If you're a fan of Thomas, Summer, BAG, Richard, Garrett or Shirley and her Evil Eel there is something in there for you (funnily enough no interview from Lena, just brief glimpses).
Interviews with cast and crew, as well as clips from this exciting show gives us an access all areas look at how this spin-off from the successful Terminator films is made, and what makes it such addictive viewing.
Sarah Cawood, who obviously watched the show before, seemed very interested in the relationship between John and Cameron.
Fans of Summer Glau and Thomas Dekker will love the incredibly sweet bit, with Thomas and Summer fooling around behind the scenes.
In time for the premiere of season 2, Sarah Cawood brings up to speed on the exciting first series of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Through interviews with the returning cast, as well as surprising new cast members, Sarah gives both a refresher course to fans and an introduction to new viewers, in order to get us to date on the first season of time travelling show before the premiere of season 2.
The interviewer lady's name was Sarah Cawood and she was the most well-versed person I have seen when it comes to the filming of that series. She impressed me immensely. It saddened me to find recently that she was compering 'Showbiz Darts' in the UK. The playing was atrocious, the celebs did not make it a show worth remembering. I thought 'She deserves so much more than this. Bring back TSCC and she can come back and be their spokeswoman'. Of course she got to speak to Summer Glau, or if you are a woman, take your pick: Thomas Dekker, Brian Austin Green. Lena Headey. Shirley Manson too, who could have asked for more? Sarah asked some great questions and told the actors things about the series that must have impressed them too. I really love this behind the scenes clip. And then Summer mentions the girl fight. How many times can she say that without stirring the blood of the male viewers? Richard T Jones was excellent in the series, IMO. In fact, nobody can be excluded because they are sub-standard. Does anybody think that Sarah Cawood wanted a part in the show as Catherine Weaver's sister, with her sexy grey dress and red hair (out of a bottle)? If anybody does not like our actors in black dresses, please leave the room now.
Thanks for the great comments Kevin! While i'm not used to seing Sarah Cawood on tv, i must admit she did a really good job and asked interesting questions; she added passion on top of that. One has to remember that TSCC fans had not seen the second season at the time these two specials aired on UK tv and it was probably a shock to see so much interviews and intriguing behind the scenes. All the more that Sarah Cawood came on set the day they were filming an episode inwhich Lena and Summer had to dress up and looked gorgeous. You can see that Richard and BAG are very funny and also good friends.
2nd clip. I've seen these clips before but seeing them again Chris, after all this time reminds me of all that was so good about the series. In this clip, Sarah Cawood shows her knowledge even more and for me, makes her the ideal partner for anyone that loves the series and films. Cameron, I mean Summer herself said, there is a form of love there. Even if it was only to protect John, she would get something out of that relationship. It pretty obvious she wanted to know something about attraction when she stood in the school hallway pouting some lippo. That was a pretty poor incident on John's part but as Thomas himself said, he treated her pretty bad. Thanks for dredging these clips up Chris, shame that whoever recorded these from Virgin TV (when it existed), did not have a higher definition recording medium.
Clip 3 of course, was rather fortunate for summer because that dress really did not want to be on her body. I saw in another clip that she had to keep pulling it up before her puppies came out to play. What a girl has to do to look really really great ! Which she did.
Almost. She is filmed coming out of the Dakara building fighting to keep her dress up and keep it over her lovely bits (Sarah is next to her but it does not feature in the TSCC film). This picture is a good example but not the part that I remember well, which occurred earlier on.
