Here is the poster for the feature 'A Texas Story'.
Things are accelerating for 'Inside the Box'! The short directed by David Martin Porras has been released a few weeks ago and early donators have received a link to watch the movie online. A few days ago, the drama was screened for the fist time in Los Angeles in the presence of the director, the producers and the actors. And now the production team has released a first poster for the feature film 'A Texas Story', based on the short 'Inside the Box', as well as a a message of thanks to all the persons who backed the project.
Thanks to all the fans, friends, relatives, lovers, ex-lovers and aliens with extraordinary abilities for all the support you gave us this weekend and during this long process. We still have a long path to walk and soon we will change the name to: A TEXAS STORY.
Inside the Box is going to be screened at film festivals soon, and hopefully all fans can see it when it will be available by VOD and DVD at a date to be determined. The production team is confident about the quality of the movie itself and about the performances of the actors as well, and hope to win many awards world wide.
David Martin Porras, the writer and director of 'Inside the Box' has been awarded with a scholarship from Programa Ibermedia, a fund providing assistance to Latin American cinema, to attend to a screenwriting lab in Mexico City with 'A Texas Story', the feature version of the short film 'Inside the Box.
'A Texas Story' will be produced by LA Panda, who already produces 'Inside the Box', starring Wilson Bethel, Summer Glau and Regina King. Both the short and the feature deal with HIV criminalization.
Assuming everything goes well, we would be very pleased if Summer Glau and the other actors of Inside the Box reprise their role in the feature film.
Congratulations to David Martin-Porras and the production team and let's hope this project will see very quickly the light of day.
The scheduled Firefly reunion may hide another one!
As you know, Summer Glau will be joining this year Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, where she'll meet up with her fellow Firefly cast member Alan Tudyk and Morena Baccarin. Convention goers can get a group photo with Summer, Morena and Alan or attend a Firefly panel, scheduled on Saturday August 10.
But what you may not know is that two cast members of the CW hit superhero drama Arrow will also join Chicago Comic Con, namely John Barrowman, who plays Malcolm Merlyn/Black Archer on Arrow, and Manu Bennett, who plays Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. And since Summer Glau will be joining Arrow season 2 as Oliver Queen's mysterious new adversary...Sure, there's no plan for a group photo gathering the three Arrow cast members or a Arrow panel but I'm sure many fans would love to get a picture with the three of them.
And if the Arrow reunion doesn't happen at Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, there will be many other opportunities later in the year, since Summer Glau, John Barrowman and Manu Bennet are regulars at that type of events. Better yet, there is more, because Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen/Arrow, is set to appear at several conventions in the second half of the year.
As of today, we don't know if Summer Glau will appear in this episode. According to the shooting schedule, the cast and crew of Arrow are still filming episode 2.03 'Broken Dolls'.
If you have any idea about what this puzzling and intriguing title means for the protagonists of Arrow, feel free to share your thoughts with us in the comment section under this Blog or in the dedicated Forum thread.
