Robert is a great fan of the Terminator franchise and loves collecting memorabilia; he had a lot of fun putting together a Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles press kit and kindly offered to share pictures with us.
We're more than happy to share this hard to find memorabilia from the marketing campaign which preceded the launch of the tv series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on FOX on January 13, 2008.
This promo collectible was never available for purchase in stores and only sent to FOX TV executives and members of the media.
It all started when these lucky few received a mysterious nondescript plain white envelope containing a simple note, signed by John Connor, and a key.
A few days later, they received a Security Trust of Los Angeles Safety Deposit Box A-117 (it's a real metal distressed safety deposit box with a key in the lock. Two items were inside the box: a DVD copy of the Pilot episode and the second episode "Gnothi Seauton" that aired on Jan. 14th, and a USB drive containing cast photos and short TSCC videos clips.
Here's a little virtual tour of Robert's set which started out simply as an empty press kit deposit with the key. Both official but they arrived incomplete and parted out. He also had foam custom cut to give it an official look:
In Robert's own words: "To replace the vacant pen drive I included this awesome set of 8GB USB Dog Tags [I felt this suited the theme]. Totally packed full of content painstakingly sourced online, including trailers, documentaries, interviews, promo art and articles. Also featured is the unaired pilot with some alternatives scenes that were reshot for the official release. Roughly 5GB of T:SCC content is stored".
I included two pictures of the original TSCC dog-tag key chains:
He had collectors postcards printed as an additional touch, roughly 20 all together not all featured in these images:
Here are screencaps from the pilot, where you can see the Security Trust Of Los Angeles and the safe box a117, that had bundles of keys inside:
I hope everyone enjoyed the tour.
Congrats Robert for your dedication and thanks again for the great pictures. Arrow cast and crew are filming the third episode of the second season in Vancouver from 1 to 13 August 2013. Arrow 2.03 is titled 'Broken Dolls', written by Marc Guggenheim and Keto Shimizu, and directed by Glen Winter. It will feature a potentially recurring character of Barton, a creepy and homicidal maniac. While we do know that Summer Glau's character Isabel Rochev appears in the season premiere - you can see glimpses of her in the trailer unveiled at this year SDCC -, we don't know yet if she will appear in Arrow 2.03 'Broken Dolls'. Here's the front page of the script for Arrow 2.03 'Broken Dolls':
UPDATE: It seems one of the villain coming to Arrow season 2 will be introduced in this episode. Arrow stunt coordinator James Bamford posted a photo of himself on set with Michael Jai White, who plays DC Comics villain Bronze Tiger aka Ben Turner.
So stay tuned for more informations. If you haven't already watched the first season of Arrow, there's still time to catch up.
Don't miss Summer Glau in the second season of Arrow, premiering on Wednesday, October 9 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW. |
