Expo Comics Cancun 2008 - Photos and Video

Summer Glau made a special guest appearance at Expo Comics Cancun, held in Mexico between October 4-5, 2008.  She had a panel, an autograph and a photo session with the mexican fans. Given the relative small size of the convention, one can wonder is Summer Glau simply wanted to have a break in Mexico.

Below are a series of photos (including UHQ) of Summer Glau taken at the convention, as well as an exclusive video featuring Summer at her booth and panel.

Summer Glau was a Guest at the con and I got to meet her! She was so much taller than expected.

As often, Summer seemed to be the biggest draw of the convention, as is proved by the con's flyer and posters :

SFX October 2008 - Magazine Scans

A sexy looking in tight leather outfit, heavily armed and completely surrounded by hot flames Summer Glau covered the October 2008 issue of SFX magazine.

The UK sci-fi and fantasy magazine published a Fall season TV preview, including a six-page article filled with cast interviews and on-set details of Terminator:The Sarah Connor Chronicles season 2.

Here are HQ scans of the article on TSCC season 2 and the two covers (the subscribers collector version with no wording and the "regular" one):

Trivias:
  • The gun that Summer Glau is holding on the cover shot is a nod to the first Terminator movie; it's an AMT Hardballer Longslide with laser sighting  which is the same gun Arnold Schwarzenegger picks up from the gun shop in T1.

  • Summer Glau holds the AMT in the promotional photo but she doesn't use the weapon in the series, nor did she wear the zipped leather outfit btw.
  • What appears to be an AMT Hardballer Longslide with laser sight, the signature weapon used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in The Terminator, is used by the T-888 (Patrick Kilpatrick) that hunts Martin Bedell throughout TSCC Season 2 Episode 5: Goodbye to All That.

Our friend Kali has posted scans from various magazines, check them at Summer Glau Daily.

Side note: thanks for the reminder Kali, i had the SFX magazine for months but it was hidden under a pile of magazines on my desk and i somehow forgot it.
