Added by Fermi on May 16, 2012 | 10 COMMENTS

Summer Glau has been announced as final guest for Dallas Comic Con, held May 19-20, 2012 at the Irving Convention Center 500 W Las Colinas Blvd Irving , TX.

"We are very happy to announce the addition of our last DCC guest for this summer convention..... How about a round of applause for Firefly, Serenity, Terminator, BigBang Theory, SUMMER GLAU!"

Summer is coming both days, Saturday and Sunday (see hours below); along with her presence at the Exhibit Hall (1st floor) for the autograph session, Summer will have a panel at 1:00pm on the main stage (4th floor Grand Ballroom).
You can get an autograph at her signing table for $40. Photos with Summer will be made at her table for a fee (price to be determined).

EVENT HOURS
Saturday 11:00am - 7:00pm,
Sunday 11:00am - 4:00pm.

She won't be signing until after her Q&A panel on Saturday at 1pm because her flight lands around noon Saturday; she goes straight to her Q&A panel and then autograph/photos for rest of weekend.

Some might be surprised by such a late announcement that don't left much time to plan a trip to Dallas but due to new film commitments, Kristanna Loken (Terminator 3) was no longer able to attend the Dallas Comic Con.

We will update the informations on the dedicated forum thread.
As usual, feel free to give us feedback from the con (stories, pictures,..).

I think that's in line with the prices at other conventions.

At least that means more pictures of Summer Glau biggrin

from my experience photos are $50.

Update on Summer's schedule at the con :

She won't be signing until after her Q&A panel on Saturday at 1pm because her flight lands around noon Saturday; she goes straight to her Q&A panel and then autograph/photos for rest of weekend.

yea that is how it worked at Supanova in Melbourne. she did her Q&A panel first before signings.

Well I got Her Signature for free once I attended the Fedcon 2009 and Pic's I took for free as well biggrin

I Think it should be Appreciated that a Fan('s) want('s) his/hers Siganture / Photo In general and not pulling money out of a Fan's pocket! angry

you are lucky! and yes i agree with that. they shouldn't charge for it. but $40-$50 isn't that much really considering all the other crap i waste money on. i am an impulse buyer which is a bad habit. i need to work on self control and not just wasting money lol.

  Message #8 | Fox012 | 2012 May 20, 21:38 GMT

I think it is expensive f.e besides summer you like an other star too and wnat his pic/sig too you have to pay another 50 bucks? I rather pay more admintance and beeing free to get the sig's / pic's i want and not pay for one!

  Message #9 | REG | 2012 May 21, 13:46 GMT

what you're describing is a VIP ticket and it works out about the same. those are upwards of $500. so either way you pay for it.

  Message #10 | Fox012 | 2012 May 21, 21:47 GMT

Well you are right I rather like to not pay....
