Summer Glau Wiki Mobile theme

It has been suggested by users several times that Summer Glau wiki should be more mobile browser friendly. So we proudly announce our new mobile optimized site. If you use a mobile device you get to the PDA site version automatically when visiting the site. If you would like to use a computer just select the “mobile theme” option in the layout widget (top left of the page).

We are using the jQuery mobile framework that should work on all popular smartphone, tablet, and desktop platforms. The design is optimized for a viewport width of 320px and larger

Here is a list on supported platforms

Here is how it looks in Apple Iphone 3GS (320x480 – OS 2.1):

And now another announcement the awesome 3D flash cooliris widget for recent images, that we all love has been replaced with a more simpler 2D slider. But hey, look on the bright side the loading time of the homepage has been improved.

Good work, Fermi!
All my friends and collegues use their mobile phone to surf the net (not me though, i'm faithful to my old computer); also there's many times i see tweets from fans who cannot see a post because they're using their phone. I hope new mobile optimized site will solve all these problems.
If someone still faces problems, giving us feedback would be nice.

No the site search feature does not work on the PDA version.

I'll investigate if it could be fixed.

Thanks for replying. I switched back to desktop version to find what I was looking for. :-)

Hey, just a request, the mobile version can be a little annoying on high end devices like the Nexus 7 or Galaxy Nexus, and while there is usually a "Full Site Version" on the bottom left in some cases it isn't there, like on link.

Sorry for missing your comment.

I will add those links on all templates when I get the time.

Also on the stock Chrome browser on these devices there is an option to "Request Desktop Version" that doesn't require pressing any "Full Site" links at all, yet the feature doesn't work on this site. Could you get those issues fixes? Thanks

I'll investigate why this feature does not work. Do you have the same problem for the gallery?
