Help for the Holidays is coming to Hallmark Channel on Dec. 9, Summer plays Santa's elf Christine, who spends her days making toys and getting progressively bored to tears.

An emergency wish from a little boy in L.A. gives her the reprieve she’s been hoping for. The kid is desperate for a genuine family Christmas – something his workaholic parents never provide — and it’s pretty Christine who gets dispatched to L.A. to help make it happen.

Words cannot express how cute Summer is in Help for the Holidays.

I think that'll be the first Christmas film I actually want to watch for ages.

Who knows, if 'Help for the Holidays' is a success, maybe the Hallmark Channel will want to make a sequel smile

Like what happened with The Good Witch serie, starring Catherine Bell.

The pose and the smile are a little too 'overdone' for my taste but i think it's part of the genre. I hope that Summer's character in the movie will act naturally when in LA with the family.

i must admit she does strike a pose. and a natural in front of the camera. some have it, and some dont, but summer glau just pure class. lets just hope she pulls it off in LA with the family. and make it a great film to watch for everybody to see. smile

If you look at the picture with the other female elf, they both have the same hands holding, which means the photograph wanted that specific pose for the promo photos.
