Looping Session for Alphas

POSTED BY chrisdvanne ON October 05, 2012 | 1 COMMENTS

Summer Glau was in a sound studio yesterday doing ADR (Additional Dialogue Recording, also known as loooping) session for Alphas episodes 2x12 and 2x13. This and previous looping sessions for Alphas also included other cast members like Malik Yoba, Mahershala Ali, Kathleen Munroe and Sean Astin (David Strathairn did a ISDN ADR session from New York).

Here are photos of the Alphas cast after/before the looping session with the recording studio manager :

Don't forget to watch Alphas on Monday on Syfy at 8pm (with an encore at 10pm).

Side note :
Automated Dialogue Replacement, or Additional Dialogue Recording (ADR), is the process of re-recording the original dialogue after the filming process for the purpose of obtaining a cleaner, more intelligible dialogue track (also known as "looping" or a "looping session").
ADR is recorded during an ADR session, which takes place in a specialized sound studio. The actor, usually the original actor from the set, is shown the scene in question along with the original sound, following which he or she will attempt to recreate the performance as closely as possible. Over the course of multiple re-takes the actor will repeatedly perform the lines while watching the scene, and the most suitable take will make it to the final version of the scene.

I hope the quality of the sound is better than the quality of the photos tongue
