Interview: Whedon fans in particular are devoted and loving

Ahead of her visit to Adelaide for Supanova Expo this weekend, Summer did an interview for Australian street magazine Rip It Up. She talks about her latest (real life) role as a mother, the untiring support from sci-fi fans in general and Firefly fans in particular, what impact Joss Whedon had on her life and more. Read a few excerpts below and follow the link for the complete interview.

"Towards the end of Arrow I found out I was having a baby,” she says ahead of her first trip to Adelaide for Supanova Pop Culture Expo. “So this year was devoted to learning about motherhood for the most part – I’ve done a few small things that I can do quickly and I’ve done some conventions because I can take my husband and the baby with me.”

"My husband and I were watching the news here and on Halloween and we were watching a parade in West Hollywood, it wasn’t a convention, it was just people dressed up for Halloween and we saw somebody wearing a Jayne hat,” she says. “I don’t know if you know what that is".

Summer has some really nice things to say about Joss Whedon and the Whedon fanbase.
