WB Lunch at Bondi Beach, Sydney on February 12, 2008
Summer Glau and Thomas Dekker headed to Sydney, Autralia on February 2008 to promote Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, as part of an official Warner Bros press junket gathering an army of American TV stars.
In between photoshoots and interviews, Summer and Thomas had lunch at Bondi Icebergs restaurant at Bondi Beach. Inside, they caught up with other TV talents Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Zachary Levi and Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck), Lee Pace (Pushing Daisies), Kathryn Morris(Cold Case) and Jensen Ackles (supernatural).
Here's the photo with the merry band of WB series’s stars, published in Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph on February 12, 2008.
Check out the Gallery for the HQ, non cropped, group photo with the TV talents, bought from a photo bank, as well as more photos with Summer.

TSCC magazine article: What Satellite & Digital TV October 2008
Find below HQ scans of a Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles article that appeared in UK television magazine What Satellite & Digital TV on October 2008, before the return of TSCC for a second season on Virgin 1.
Summer Glau as Cameron Phillips is on the cover of the magazine and they have a very nice couple of interviews with Thomas Dekker Summer Glau and Lena Headey, who says why it's fun to keep running from the terminators.
Summer Glau: "Everyone changes after the first episode [of the 2nd season]. All the relationships get more complicated; it's interesting for me to try to play a jealous robot."
Summer Glau is always equally beautiful when she wears casual clothes or striking evening dresses by renowned couturiers. On the fashion front, something funny came to my mind as I was updating an album in the Gallery: I noticed Summer was wearing the same silk mini dress at two 2008 public events...only in two different colors. There was no way the blogger that is in me could pass up the opportunity to show you pictures of Summer wearing a Graham & Spencer silk mini dress, which is what this is all about, once in black and once in yellow.
The first time Summer wore that dress was when she was a guest at the Last Call With Carson Daly show on February 21, 2008 to promote Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The Texan native actress looks ravishing and proves she's one to watch out for in this Graham & Spencer black silk mini dress.
You can watch the video of Summer at Carson Daly show and more screen captures in a previous blogpost.
Two weeks after her appearance on the Carson Daly show, Summer Glau hosted a party at TAO Nightclub in Las Vegas on March 7, 2008 where she wore the same silk mini dress by Graham & Spencer but in yellow color this time. Summer brightened up the red carpet as she arrived at Tao Nightclub. Just call her sunshine!
You can watch more images of Summer at TAO Nightclub in the Gallery.
Here's a detailed description and photos of the dress.

Knights of Badassdom will be screened in Spokane, Washington, in the very places where it was filmed in the Summer of 2010. Most who worked on the film were from the Spokane area, including a large cast of extras.
Knights of Badassdom Tugg showing in Spokane will be hosted by Spokane Comicon - Spokane’s annual comic book convention - on January 21, 2014 at AMC River Park Square 20 & IMAX at 7:30pm (This event is sold out). Spokane Comicon gets 5 percent of the $10 ticket prices and the organization will donate that money to the Union Gospel Mission.
Rich Cowan, an executive producer of the film, will answer questions after the Spokane showing. Cowan is a partner at North by Northwest, the production company hired to film the movie. Cowan saw an earlier version.
“I have not seen this particular cut, but I hear it’s really good,” Cowan said.
To this day, only three other cities have met the threshold that allows the Tugg event to occur, namely Seattle, Mountlake Terrace, Wash., and Cupertino, Calif. Find a screening near you and reserve your ticket at Tugg.com.
Summer Glau and Nathan Fillion attented the Dutch Premiere of Serenity that was held on 6th September 2005 at the Pathe de Munt theater in Amsterdam. It was a prescreening, as part of the worldwide publicity campaign.
The Gallery has been updated with photos of Summer Glau and Nathan Fillion at the event. Here's a sample and head over to the Gallery to watch the rest of the pictures.
Here's a report from the event by Caroline van Oosten de Boer:
Serenity premiere in Amsterdam. Nathan and Summer attended the low key premiere of Serenity on Tuesday (9/6), welcomed by 50 (mainly) Dutch Browncoats and a straggle of Dutch press, 'celebs' and UIP associates.
The film won't go into general release in this country until November. Interest seems low and the release has been moved around quite a bit to satisfy theatre owners. Sci-fi & pop culture aren't popular here and tv series in general aren't considered art or taken seriously at all. (I was thinking, instead of saying 'by the maker of Buffy and Angel, that new poster should have had 'by the writer of Speed and Toy Story' on it. That would attract an audience here.) Celeb and press turn out was pretty low.
Summer signed quite a few things for the fans on the red carpet, while Nathan seemed to be more in a hurry. They were fashionably late as it was.
The two of them were introduced to the crowd by a man who didn't introduce himself. He then did a brief interview with Summer and Nathan in which he rather exaggerated Dutch interest in the phenomenon, as well as the size of the fanbase. So he must have been a UIP employee.
Summer admitted to being very shy as she stumbled over UIP-guy's first question (explain the success, yadda yadda yadda) and Nathan clowned around quite a bit, which lightened things up nicely. Nathan said Joss was a bit like a father figure, but also a goofy younger brother that you can make fun of. Near the end of the interview, Nathan pretended to spoil part of the film. You'll see in the pictures where he's got his hand clasped over his mouth.
An intro by Joss was played before the film in which Joss praised the fans for being inclusive and understanding that his work belonged to everybody, and just not the happy few. It's not a cult, it's a movement. Which was funny because I had been talking to a young man waiting in line at the red carpet who would have preferred the new poster to appeal to 'people like us' rather than 'the masses'.
Then we watched Serenity. It was my second time and I thoroughly enjoyed it again. Was moved and excited in all the right places once more.
Summer and Nathan had sat down to watch the film with us, but they left about two third into the film.
Audience response was a little muted at the start - a lot of the Browncoats had already seen the film. I noticed the quick jokes, the language quirks didn't seem to evoke a reaction (the translation was good but lacked a lot of the funny) unless they were given space (a few beats, so it sank in). It could be people didn't understand, or it could be everybody was wrapped up in the film. At the end of the film, quite a few people applauded. Wash drew the most laughs, I think, and Jayne a good second.
I didn't linger long, went straight back to process my photos, so I may well have missed a meet 'n' greet in the lobby, I don't know. Which I'm fine with - it's not really my thing.

'Serenity: Leaves On The Wind' Covers Featuring River Tam
Comic book publisher Dark Horse Comics announced back in September 2013 they would release a new continuation to Joss Whedon's space-western Firefly and its follow-up film, Serenity. The six issue mini-series titled "Serenity: Leaves on the Wind", written by Zack Whedon and illustrated by Georges Jeanty, picks up 9 months after Serenity‘s conclusion.
Take a look at various cover art of "Serenity: Leaves on the Wind" featuring Summer Glau's character River Tam, who is now the pilot of the Serenity ship in this continuation of the world of Serenity in comic book form.
Serenity: Leaves On The Wind #1 - Cover by Georges Jeanty
Malcolm Reynolds's crew shook the 'verse to its core when they laid bare the crimes against humanity undertaken by their sinister government the Alliance.
Always outlaws, Mal, a very pregnant Zoe, new pilot River Tam, and the other surviving crew members are in greater danger than ever. Meanwhile, everyone is asking the same question . . .
Serenity: Leaves on the Wind #1 arrives in stores January 29th, 2014. More informations at Dark Horse.
Serenity: Leaves On The Wind #3 - Cover by Dan Dos Santos
Serenity is found! The crew, including Jayne and a certain bounty hunter, get themselves ready to restock and retrieve when River wakes from her self-induced sleep and gives Mal a mandate . . . which will eventually—hopefully—maybe—lead to Zoe’s rescue!
The cover of "Serenity: Leaves on the Wind #3" featuring River Tam is as beautifully strange and mysterious as River herself. Here's what cover artist has to say about the process of creating it: "Every commission starts with the manuscript. After reading through Zack Whedon's rough draft of 'Serenity: Leaves on the Wind #3', I began to sketch some rough ideas for the cover. Dark Horse Editor-in-Chief, Scott Allie, requested I depict the opening dream sequence with River Tam, so I started there."
