New Knights of Badassdom Poster Art

Knights of Badassdom have published a new poster art on their Facebook page, that they use as their cover page (see picture below). This new poster is actually quite close to the upper part of the official poster released recently, with the four main characters on top, namely Summer Glau, Ryan Kwnaten, Peter Dinklage and Steve Zahn.

A few modifications have been made though; while the first poster had Peter Dinklage front and center, the four characters are now of equal size, and Dinklage even lost his left arm, that previously partially hided Zahn. Another significant change is that another image of Summer Glau's character Gwen has been used; the first poster had basically hero shots of Kwanten, Zahn and Dinklage, while Summer was represented holding in her arm a...firstarter (hey, it's a comedy after all). The new image of Summer shows her with her hand on a sword of imposing size.

Unfortunately, Summer's name is still not listed on top with the other three names. Of course, it seems really foolish to not put Summer Glau's name up top, as she has a huge fan base, and in many ways would be a huge selling point for a film like this. It's hard to say if this is a deliberate intention to not have her name on top or if this is the way things have been negociated at the time they signed their contracts.

Anyway I've decided to fix this and added Summer's name and a tag line myself in the much better version shown below. What do you think?

It"s a hell of a lot better that"s for sure, at least Summer is on level terms with the other actors, she looked to have a tiny Image on the first official poster, and pushed to the background, I still can"t fathom out why they had the cheek to not put Summer"s name on the poster, but now that it"s been fixed it looks absolutely awesome, equal rights they are all main stars, Great job Chris and it"s a big thumb"s up from me, Nice work! wink

We don't know if the modified image will be used for a second poster. I have the feeling the second version was more suitable for a Facebook banner, that's all.

Sorry Chris, I think I got a little bit muddled up, thinking it was a new poster, shame because it"s totally much better than the first poster.

Who knows, if Summer Glau fans make enough noise they might decide to use the second version everywhere. Hey, this much better poster is already on the cover of their official Facebook page.
